He has outstanding lateral quickness and uses that quickness to pick up opponents full court to cause some turnovers. Offensively he was constantly on the attack, getting into the paint for layups and assist to teammates.
Seaforth HS Sophomore Jarin Stevenson Jarin Stevenson 6'8" | SF Seaforth | 2024 #14 Nation NC : With a team composed of only freshman and sophomores he has taken on the leadership role in just his second year of varsity action. His team struggled overall against a Cummings squad thats currently undefeated for the season. Despite the overall struggles of the team, we saw some flashes of his potential throughout this matchup. Rebounding the ball by using his height and length as well as stepping out to knock down perimeter shots were things we saw from him on Tuesday night.
Cummings HS Freshman Johnniyus Sharp: His team is off to a tremendous start this season and he’s one of the reasons why. The Freshman Guard doesn’t play like a rookie at all, instead he plays the game with a confidence that you normally only see from upperclassmen. On Tuesday night he found some success scoring the ball, beating opponents off the dribble but also knocking down shots from the perimeter. He’s a dual sport athlete so only time will tell which route he will go but he is clearly a player that we will want to keep a close eye on.
Pinecrest HS Junior Guard Colby Wallace: Moved well without the ball and was the recipient of quite a few assist after Pinecrest Guards broke down Millbrook full court pressure. It seemed as if whenever his team needed a bucket he stepped and scored, finishing with a game high of twenty-four points.
Pinecrest Senior Guard JD Scarborough: With the team struggling to score the ball, he checked in and made an impact almost immediately. He knocked down some outside shots, came up with some timely assist and gave the team some much needed energy off the bench.
Millbrook HS Senior F/C CeeJay Jordan CeeJay Jordan 6'4" | SF Millbrook | 2022 State NC : He made his impact in the second half as his team looked to climb back in the game after going down by seventeen points. He played the game with a high level of physicality, making plays throughout the second half to help his team make a big time run.
Millbrook HS Freshman Wing Colt Langdon Colt Langdon 6'7" | SG Millbrook | 2025 State #114 Nation NC : This young man has a chance to be a very special prospect as he continues to progress over the next four years. He has a skillset that is very advanced for his age and once you combine that with his height at 6’8 , you have a scary combination of size, skill and potential. He scored and rebounded at a nice level, leading his team with nineteen points and double digit rebounds.
