This week was full of great games that had lots of great players in them. I saw some exciting prospects and look forward to giving you my evaluations each and every Sunday throughout the season. It is time to recap this week and look at what our exciting prospects did.

Western: vs Tipton 12/10

[player_tooltip player_id="870290" first="Evan" last="Kretz"] – 6’4 2022 SF: Krestz is a taller PF that is strong and athletic. Well balanced player that can score at all three levels. Pull-up jumper 15ft and out is pretty consistent. Was easily the strongest finisher in this game. Solid showing from him all-around.

Tipton: vs Western 12/10

[player_tooltip player_id="1180867" first="Samuel" last="Ridgeway"] – 6’8 2022 PF: Ridgeway is a highly athletic PF with legit size and strength. True rim protector as he had multiple blocks. Was easily the best rebounder on the floor on both ends. Saw a lot of improvement in his post scoring as he looked more controlled with his footwork. Game is continuing to develop.

Southport: vs Heritage Christian (Forum Tip-Off)

[player_tooltip player_id="868221" first="Nickens" last="Lemba"] – 6’6 2023 SF: Lemba was the most natural athletic player on the floor in this contest. Few things that looked a little worrisome was his freethrow shooting and he was fumbling the ball a little bit too often at times in different situations. However, started to notice how well of a passing forward he is because he was finding the open man and making sharp passes from the post. He finished with 8 pts and 7 rbs.

Bloomington North: vs Franklin Central (Forum Tip-Off)

[player_tooltip player_id="868224" first="JaQualon" last="Roberts"] – 6’7 2022 PF: Roberts was easily the best player on the floor this game and came up big late into the game with some important buckets. Had multiple slams and at one point had back-to-back ones first with a rebound put-back then followed it with a steal and fastbreak one. Scored at all three levels and finished with a game high 24 pts, 13 rbs double-double.

Barr-Reeve: vs Central Noble (Forum Tip-Off)

[player_tooltip player_id="958397" first="Hagen" last="Knepp"] – 6’4 2022 SF: Knepp started this game a little slow and uncomfortable here before finding his groove in the 2H. He started playing a little bit looser and was knocking down 15ft jumpers and scoring through contact at the rim. He has a unique game and that uniqueness plays to his advantage at times. He finished with a team high 14 pts.

Central Noble: vs Barr-Reeve (Forum Tip-Off)

[player_tooltip player_id="870256" first="Logan" last="Gard"] – 6’6 2022 PF: Gard was another player that Barr-Reeve had no answers for due to not having any size to match him. He is powerful and strong 4 that finishes well through contact and converted multiple And1s. He finished with a big time 20 pts and 5 rbs.

Crispus Attucks: vs Zionsville (Forum Tip-Off)

[player_tooltip player_id="870284" first="Christian" last="Nunn"] – 6’4 2022 SF: Nunn is a powerful SF that can guard multiple spots. Was at his best when he could bully his way through contact and finish. Also has a capable 15ft jumper. Finished with 9 pts and 3 rbs.

[player_tooltip player_id="1297019" first="Dezmon" last="Briscoe"] – 6’7 2025 C: Briscoe is a young, true post with solid big man fundamentals. Has legit size already but is still a little slow on his feet. Rebounded very well ending up with 6 total. He finished with 6 pts but there is some untapped potential there.

Zionsville: vs Crispus Attucks (Forum Tip-Off)

[player_tooltip player_id="868244" first="Nick" last="Richart"] – 6’8 2023 PF: No other way to say it, Richart was very dominant this game. Attucks had no answer for him down low and he scored nearly every time in the paint. Like I mentioned with Imes, the pick-and-roll was money for him. He tied Imes with 16 pts and finished with 10 rbs so he ended up with a big time double-double.

Cathedral: vs Covington Catholic (Forum Tip-Off)

[player_tooltip player_id="1063971" first="Jaxon" last="Edwards"] – 6’6 2022 SF (Murray State): The Murrary State commit had his elite athletic ability on full display. He was making big time plays on both ends of the floor and though his 3pt shot looked very good here especially. Almost finished with a double-double with 16 pts and 8 rbs.

[player_tooltip player_id="868219" first="Xavier" last="Booker"] – 6’11 2023 PF: Booker was without question the highest rated prospect that played here at Southport. Did not really flat out dominate the game but he did do a little bit of everything where you realized just how special of a talent he is. Had some aggressive rebounds and mixed up his offense inside and out. He finished with 12 pts and 6 rbs.

[player_tooltip player_id="868251" first="Jake" last="Davis"] – 6’6 2023 SF: The big, powerful SF’s with elite shooting ability had a good showing here finishing with 13 pts. He made 3 outside jumpers and was making good passes that led to buckets.

Covington Catholic: vs Cathedral (Forum Tip-Off)

[player_tooltip player_id="926898" first="Mitchell" last="Rylee"] – 6’8 2022 C: (Miami (OH)): Rylee was a nonfactor in this this game as Cathedral did a fantastic job containing him. Got in foul trouble and just never seemed to get into rhythm. He had zero pts.

Homestead: vs Westfield (Forum Tip-Off)

[player_tooltip player_id="870214" first="Andrew" last="Leeper"] – 6’6 2022 PF: Leeper is a athletic, versatile forward that also had a big day. Finished with 20 pts and hit a few outside jumpers and had an electric slam. He plays very well off of Loyer.
