Ironwood 68 at Millennium 73 OT
Perry 49 vs Chaparral 36 at Brophy Prep
Sunnyslope 43 at Brophy Prep 40
Here were the top Seniors Seen:
Reginald Mickens-Orr Reginald Mickens-Orr 6'3" | SG Millennium | 2022 State AZ Millennium
A very aggressive wing guard who collects steals in bunches. His energy willed Millennium to a OT win over Ironwood.
DeOtis Nunn Jr DeOtis Nunn Jr 6'1" | PG Ironwood | 2022 State AZ Ironwood
Poised senior guard who ran the offense making sure his shooters got the ball in the right places. Ironwood had its chances to pull it out.
Dylan Anderson Dylan Anderson 7'0" | C Perry | 2022 State #88 Nation AZ Perry
Made his presence known in the paint for the Pumas against Chaparral. When he rim runs he’s virtually unstoppable. He was grabbing rebounds and led the Pumas to a win.
Michael Saba Michael Saba 6'8" | PF Chaparral | 2022 State AZ Chaparral
Saba has grown close to 6’9” and he also showed the improvement in his game. He hit multiple jump shots and battled with big front line of Perry. With his progression in his game he has shown that he is a definite college prospect.
Oakland Fort Oakland Fort 5'9" | PG Sunnyslope | 2022 State AZ Sunnyslope
After suffering an apparent shoulder injury early in the game Oakland proceeded to control the offense like a quarterback on the football field. It’s obvious that Oakland could score 30 points every game if he wanted to but that’s not his job.
Elijah Saunders Elijah Saunders 6'8" | PF Sunnyslope | 2022 State AZ Sunnyslope
For the couple of minutes that Fort was out Saunders was the one bringing the ball up court and initiating the offense. Saunders hit jumpers from various areas and did his usual work around the rim.
Patrick Chew Patrick Chew 6'4" | SG Brophy | 2022 State AZ Brophy Prep
Pat battled against a stingy Slope defense. His handle has always been tight and he’s a willing passer. Chew’s jumper wasn’t on but he’s definitely a capable shooter who wisely uses his body well in the paint.
Miles Nash Miles Nash 6'2" | PG Brophy Prep | 2022 State AZ Brophy Prep
Nash went toe to toe with Fort and did a good job in keeping his team in the game and giving them a chance to win at the end. Nash is quick and keeps the defense on his heels. He’s good at setting up his shooter and getting them the ball when they need it.
