<p>Several of the state’s top teams come from the KC Metro. Here are a few highlight performances from Tuesday night from Kansas City:</p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="1076397" first="Sebastian" last="Hamm"], 6-foot-1 guard, 2022, Blue Valley Southwest (pictured):</p>
<p>The fifth-ranked team in 5A beat Barstow 60-38 Tuesday, with Hamm leading in scoring with 16. He teams with [player_tooltip player_id="946258" first="Jinwoo" last="Kim"] to form one of the best backcourts in the state. </p>
<p><strong>Blake Hekman</strong>, 6-foot-2 guard, 2023, Heritage Christian:</p>
<p>In a 49-42 win over Central Heights, the junior scored 15 and grabbed 4 boards. Heritage Christian is a private school to be reckoned with. Already this season they beat Iola and gave Atchison a battle. Hekman is averaging nearly 14 points and 3.6 assists a game against those quality public school programs.</p>
<p><strong>Gage Roach</strong>, 2022, Blue Valley West:</p>
<p>The fifth-ranked team in 6A improved to 2-0 by blowing out Gardner-Edgerton Tuesday. Roach was on fire, hitting all six of his attempts for 14 points. He added six rebounds and 3 assists. The honorable mention 6A quarterback is adjusting quickly to the hardwood.</p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="1080165" first="Will" last="Rost"], 6-foot-3 guard, 2023, Aquinas:</p>
<p>Rost poured in 17 in a win over KC Southeast Tuesday. After gaining a lot of experience as a sophomore, Rost will be one of the most versatile and athletic junior guards in the state this year. He has grabbed 8 rebounds in each of Aquinas’ first two games.</p>
