Take a look at some unsigned seniors to get eyes on at the NCHSAA 1A & 2A levels in the state of North Carolina. Here’s a look at Part I.

[player_tooltip player_id="1342384" first="Javon" last="Bullock"] | 6’3 Wing/Guard | JF Webb

[player_tooltip player_id="1342384" first="Javon" last="Bullock"] is on quite the tear with JF Webb High over in Oxford. He put up 35 points and 10 rebounds in their 72-63 victory over Louisburg this past Tuesday and followed that up with another double-double against Bunn on Friday with 22 points, 11 rebounds and four steals. He’s an explosive guard that can fill it up with efficiency when the ball is in his hands and plays with a ton of energy. He’s a wiry 6-foot-3 prospect to get eyes on in the 2022 class with a ton of potential at multiple spots. They play Oxford Prep tonight and Granville Central at home on Friday.

[player_tooltip player_id="1342385" first="Charlie" last="Whitley"] | 6’6 Forward/Center | East Wake Academy

Whitley is off to a strong start in the frontcourt for East Wake Academy. He’s a 6-foot-6 inside-out threat with a knack for scoring the ball, rebounding and blocking shots. Through the first four games of the season, he’s produced 20.0 ppg, 11.3 rpg and 2.5 bpg. As he shows off his ability to protect the paint/rim area, look for his recruitment to grow in the state. DIIs and DIIIs should take a look. They’ve got one game this week at Neuse Charter (7-1) who they defeated this past Friday, 63-57.

[player_tooltip player_id="1082589" first="TJ" last="Ragland"] | 6’2 Guard | Henderson Collegiate

Ragland is really coming into his own at the combo guard position on both ends of the floor for Henderson Collegiate. He’s produced 15.9 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 3.0 spg and 2.7 apg while asserting himself as quite the two-way presence. When he forces turnovers, he looks to push the pace and get to his spots while also looking to find shooters on the perimeter. They’ve been in a bit of slump against tougher competition but they’ll be back this week with games against Wakefield (12/8) and Friday & Saturday against First Flight (12/10) and South Central (12/11). DIIIs and JUCOs would be wise to give him a look.

[player_tooltip player_id="1341198" first="Jeremiah" last="Scales"] | 6’4 Guard/Wing | Walkertown

Scales is a big, athletic prospect with some versatility on the wing and in the backcourt given his size and frame at 6-foot-4. He’s a relentless downhill threat that can finish through contact with authority and make plays around the paint area. He can score, rebound, defend multiple positions and operates well in the midrange area. DIIs, especially in the state, should give him a look.

[player_tooltip player_id="577831" first="Christen" last="Battle"] | 5’10 Point Guard | Wilson Prep

Battle is an emerging name in the 2022 class that looks poised to have a strong senior season, showing off his development at the point guard spot. He showed off his ability to run the floor general spot with 21 points and seven assists in the team’s season-opening victory over Henderson Collegiate back on Nov. 9. They’ll be back in action against North Edgecombe on Tuesday night.

[player_tooltip player_id="1342386" first="Tyrese" last="Miller"] | 6’3 Guard | R-S Central

Miller is one of a few senior names to get eyes on over at RS-Central, who’s off to a 5-0 start with a recent victory over AC Reynolds this past Friday. He’s another big, strong guard that can get downhill and fill it up in a hurry in the paint. He’s produced 16.6 ppg along with 5.8 rpg, 2.4 apg and 2.0 spg, so he certainly knows how to be a presence on both ends of the floor. They’ll host Kings Mountain (12/7), @ AC Reynolds (12/8) and @ Mountain Heritage (12/10) in a busy week of games.
