The Fourteenth Annual Nor Cal Tip-Off Classic at Dublin High School. An annual event held to showcase high school basketball in Northern California. Here’s more of our unsigned Seniors that played well at this event.

[player_tooltip player_id="766849" first="Andre" last="Warren"] 6’4 G/F of Lincoln HS Stockton.

Warren has good fundamentals, he plays fast but under control. He handles the ball in transition, and finishes strong when going the the basket. He’s improved his outside shooting from the 3-pt area. In the past he’s shown he can defend in the post as well as guard on the perimeter. 5-8 FG, 1-1 from the 3, led his team in scoring at this event 13 pts.

Jason Zimmer 6’4 G of Clayton Valley Charter HS

It was our first look at Zimmer, He’s a heady player constantly moving, and cutting without the ball making himself available for points going to the basket. A big guard with good vision, he often penetrates hard and finds shooters or the dump off to the the post. He’s a tenacious defender. 3-4 FG, 2rebs, 4asts, 6pts.

[player_tooltip player_id="1254019" first="John" last="Semany"] 6’2 PG of De La Salle HS

Semany is showing consistency at the point guard position. He’s experienced and shows good patience. He does a good job of controlling the pace. He has good vision and usually delivers passes to players in good position to make positive plays with ball. He’ll get at least two charging fouls a game in his favor. 3-7 FG, 1-2 from 3-Ptr, 2-3 FT, 3rebs, 3 assists, for 9pts.

[player_tooltip player_id="1253965" first="Javon" last="Johnson"] 6’4 G, of De La Salle HS.

Johnson continues to be a key player for this team early on. He has a versatile skill set enabling him to play both guard positions, and work for points in the post. He had a couple of nice strong post moves in this game. He can penetrate the paint and hits mid-range pull-up jumpers as well. 4-8 FG, 4-4 FT, 6rebs, 2stls, a block for 12 pts.

John Flanagan 6’9 F of De La Salle HS

Flanigan has good hands and ready to receive dump off passes from attacking guards. He’s showing decent foot work and good post moves, a jump hook and a short jumper in the key he converts with. His length gives him presence in the paint. He’ll work for rebounds and put backs. 5-9 FG, 2-2 FT, 2rebs for 12 pts.

[player_tooltip player_id="1143737" first="Cameron" last="Brown"] 6’3 G of Bishop O’ Dowd HS

Brown is a hard playing guard with good strength and skills to play multiple positions. He can handle well enough to create his own shot off the dribble, and be an effective player when needed in the post area. He has good intensity on the court. He sprints the court in transition, rebounds well and is a tough defender. 7-10 FG, 15pts

Josh Tignor 6’5 Post, of Grant HS

Tignor has made good improvement over time. He’s going to help this team with his inside play. He’s not going to stuff the stat sheet but he’s a big body who will work to defend and rebound at the position. 4-8 FG, 10 pts.

Alex Argandar 6’1 PG of Modesto Christian HS.

Agandar has superb vision, passing and handles to sufficiently run the point position. He’s a good decision maker with good shot selection for himself. His biggest asset will be spreading the ball around to the multiple DI players he’s on the court with. He should be a top assist leader.

[player_tooltip player_id="946522" first="Matt" last="Radell"] 6’6 C of Campolindo HS.

Radell has been a reliable and consistent player on this Varsity team since Freshman year. He doesn’t get the recognition because of other top players, but he’s an important piece to the teams success. He’s the tallest on the roster at 6’6. He’s fundamentally sound, has a big body to defend and rebound. He’s a good passer, and he’ll finish inside.
