Geremiah Rone showcased his vertical on multiple occasions throughout the weekend. He was driving with speed to the cup, and rocked the rim when defenders decided not to jump with him. He also made tough contested layups and hit some shots from the outside for Perazen Elite.

Rone is fun to watch because of the energy he plays with. He’s one of the best finishers we have, and it’s not limited to just his fastbreak prowess. The high octane slasher is also a 3.3 + Student.

I’ve always thought of Rone as a transition star, now I have a better understanding of why. He plays hard on the defensive end, and he did a terrific job of jumping passing lanes. The active wing defender then showed off his super power, finishing once out on the break.

I’ve seen Rone quite a bit over the last few months and he has a signature skill. The wing is one of the better transition finishers in the class with a knack for sprinting, catching and finishing or jumping passing lanes to turn defense into offense for layups.

Rone has always been one of the better transition scorers in the class, so a Showcase setting was right up his alley. He did what he does best, which is get out in transition. He played with active hands, creating turnovers and converting on the other end.

I’ve gotten to see quite a bit of Rone during the AAU season, so it was a lot of fun watching him with his high school team. He didn’t disapoint, using his signature skill to get out and finish in transition. If you see him play, one thing that you should expect is that he’s going to finish with two hands off one foot. Rone provides the Spartans with yet another scoring element.
