<p>The high school season is here, meaning it’s time to see how some of our top prospects perform on the scholastic level. There are quite a few opening week games, that will feature top prospects, here In this article, we present our top 3 Opening week matchups. </p>
<p><strong>(1) Highland at Sandia</strong> - Sandia is led by our #4 ranked prospect in the class of 2022 [player_tooltip player_id="1076668" first="Sean" last="Johnson"]. He will have help from junior running mates, [player_tooltip player_id="1076706" first="Ely" last="Lovato"] our #5 ranked player in the c/o 2023 and [player_tooltip player_id="1076710" first="Dalen" last="Moyer"] who is ranked #14 in the class. Highland arrives with a talented roster including 6’8 rising senior and our #5 player in the class of 2022 [player_tooltip player_id="1076677" first="Jose" last="Murillo"]. He’ll be flanked by fellow big man [player_tooltip player_id="1285509" first="Gustavo" last="Ayala Del Toro"], alongside PG and team Captain [player_tooltip player_id="1076724" first="Alexis" last="Dominguez"], our #17 player in the class of 2023. </p>
<p><strong>(2) La Cueva - Atrisco Heritage</strong> - A Talented La Cueva squad hits the road to take on AH. La Cueva features our #1 player in the class of 2023 [player_tooltip player_id="1076700" first="Exodus" last="Ayers"]. [player_tooltip player_id="1076705" first="Cedarious" last="Yates"], and [player_tooltip player_id="1208049" first="JoJo" last="Guliford"] look to provide additional ammunition. As for the Jags, they come into the game with a talented roster of their own, featuring the dynamic 1-2 punch of sharpshooter Chris Parra Jr. and big man [player_tooltip player_id="1076691" first="Colby" last="Wade"]. Ranked #6 and 7 in their respective classes. Heritage should also get contributions from [player_tooltip player_id="1076708" first="Tony" last="Pacheco"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1128606" first="Javier" last="Mendoza"], who are ranked number 9 and 17 in the class of 2023 and 2024 respectively. Keep an eye on freshman [player_tooltip player_id="1176301" first="Latavious" last="Morris"] a top 5 player in our class of 2025. </p>
<p><strong>(3) Volcano Vista vs Rio Grande</strong> - Coach Greg Brown may have from top to bottom one of his most talented rosters. He has the #3 player in the class of 2022 Combo [player_tooltip player_id="1076675" first="Jakwon" last="Hill"], the #12 player in PG [player_tooltip player_id="1128605" first="Kaden" last="Valdez"], and senior guard [player_tooltip player_id="1128602" first="Jadon" last="Malone"], the #36 player in our class of 2022. In addition to those seniors, the squad should get contributions from junior forward [player_tooltip player_id="1124213" first="Sean" last="Alter"], the #4 ranked player in our class of 2023, and freshman big man [player_tooltip player_id="1176300" first="Kenyon" last="Aguino"] who is ranked #2 in our class of 2025. Rio Grande looks to defend its court behind junior guard [player_tooltip player_id="1234592" first="Jonah" last="Lopez"] who is ranked #11 in our class of 2023 and [player_tooltip player_id="1295239" first="Jonathon" last="Lukesh"] ranked #23 in our class of 2024. </p>
