Recruiting Update (December)

<p>PHOTO CREDIT: <a href="https://twitter.com/cmays_media">Charles Mays</a></p> <p>The first month of high school basketball revealed to the relevant college basketball coaches that players in our state are worthy of playing for them.  Read many of the latest offers and commitments. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1237820" first="Reece" last="Pride"] earned his fourth college offer.  Now Crown College (TN) joins Covenant College and Graceland University, and Welch College on his list of offers.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1236443" first="Joshua" last="Heard"] (Cookeville) was evaluated by Tennessee Tech mid-November during a home game.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1311975" first="Aiden" last="Williams"] (Harpeth) captured his second college offer, this time from Maine Maritime.  Covenant College offered prior.</p> <p>https://twitter.com/PrepHoopsTN/status/1465336539681116166?s=20</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1176630" first="Jackson" last="Garner"] (Clinton) verbally committed to Maryville College.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1012000" first="Jaden" last="Lyles"] (Lipscomb Academy) verbally committed to Austin Peay State...for football.  He was a fringe D2 basketball prospect heading into his senior season, but elected to take the sure thing (OVC offer) and jump on it.  Jaden told me that he will play his senior season of basketball and join the team as soon as his Lipscomb Academy Bison complete their state football playoff championship game.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1029850" first="Damon" last="Fann"] (LaVergne) earned a Cleveland State CC offer.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1021825" first="Cade" last="Pendleton"] (East Hamilton) will surely pick up more offers throughout the winter, but continues to hold onto the Stetson, Morehead State, and Northeastern offers.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1008433" first="Eli" last="Rice"] (Beech) is perhaps the hottest name in Tennessee right now. "Gonzaga is calling him weekly now," said Rice’s mother Wednesday night.  "LSU is coming to the Christmas Tournament.  And Georgetown."  The offers that are certain right now for Eli include: VCU, Southeast Missouri, Murray State, NC A&amp;T.  Those offers all went out in June 2020 though.  Western Kentucky, Murray State, Florida State, West Virginia, LSU all evaluated him in September in-person.</p>
