Dylan Chavez Dylan Chavez 6'5" | SG La Cueva | 2024 State #268 Nation NM 6’4 SG ABC Prep 2024 (#2PHNM 2024) (featured image) – Chavez has been a guy flirting with the national rankings since his freshman season. He’ll have a bunch of opportunities to impress while playing on the Grind Session with ABC prep. A “Good At Every” type player, I’m looking to see which signature skill emerges.
Dalen Moyer Dalen Moyer 6'0" | CG Sandia | 2023 State NM 5’10 CG Sandia 2023 (#14PHNM 2024) – Moyer looks like a player ready to pop. He was a double-digit scorer as a sophomore for a nine-win team. Moyer blends the line between getting his own buckets and creating for others. He led the team in assists last season averaging over 3 per game. Currently ranked 14th, look for Moyer to rise in the rankings with a strong junior campaign.
Alex Rosales Alex Rosales 6'9" | PF Sandia | 2022 State NM 6’5 PF Sanida 2022 (#45PHNM 2022) – Size is at a premium and Rosales has that. He has a chance to lead the squad in rebounding, as the 6’5 forward averaged nearly 5 boards per game last year. Currently ranked in the 40s a strong campaign from the skilled 4 man should give him a chance to rise in the state senior rankings.
Cole Savage Cole Savage 6'4" | PF Cleveland | 2022 State NM 6’4 PF Cleveland 2022 (#71PHNM 2022) – The athletic big man should see an increase in minutes for the defending state champs. Savaged averaged over four points per game last season while protecting the rim. With the bulk of the production leaving due to graduation, the forward should be poised to take over that production. If he does this, and Cleveland remains a contender, he’ll have no choice but to rise.
Diego Sharp Diego Sharp 6'1" | SG ABC Prep | 2022 State NM 6’1 SG ABC Prep 2022 (#10PHNM 2022) – Sharp is one of the top R&J athletes in the state. Much like Chavez, he’ll get a chance to test his skills on one of the top circuits in the country. He’s more effective when playing off the ball, but if the athletic wing can transition down to a combo by increasing his playmaking ability, I expect him to rise.
