Players are looking to take their games to the next level, especially the available senior forwards. Here are the 2022 forwards who can raise their stocks the most during the 2021-22 season.
Noah Pit Noah Pit 6'7" | SF Mendham | 2023 New E , 6’7 SF/PF Mendham
Pit had a good summer and fall season, which should carry over into a big senior season. The 6’7 forward has a nice release on his jumper and can knock down shots in bunches. Pit is more than just a shooter as he can also put the ball on the floor and finish around the basket. He is a strong rebounder and is an underrated passer. Pit is in line for a breakout senior season with his ability to stretch the floor and rip down rebounds on both ends of the floor.
Billy Anderson Billy Anderson 6'7" | PF Colonia | 2022 State NJ , 6’7 PF Colonia
Anderson is a breakout player to watch in the GMC as he should get more touches down low. The 6’7 forward has a physical frame which he uses to get position down low and draw contact. Anderson has a nice touch around the basket and can draw contact close to the rim. He is tough to box out on both ends of the floor and is a solid post defender. Anderson will be more featured in Colonia’s offense this season, which should lead to a breakout senior season.
Matteo Strikker Matteo Strikker 6'8" | SF Olympus Prep | 2022 State NJ , 6’8 SF Olympus Prep
Strikker is one of the more intriguing prospects in the Garden State due to his unique skillset. The 6’8 forward attacks the basket hard and can finish through contact. Strikker is capable of running the offense as he is a smooth passer and can get his teammates involved in the half court. He is capable of hitting open jumpers from distance and can score in the mid-range. Strikker is a talented point-forward prospect who is set for a big 2021-22 season.
Charles Anyichie Charles Anyichie 6'7" | PF Ranney School | 2022 State NJ , 6’7 PF Ranney
Anyichie is set for a breakout season as he gets a big role in the Panthers’ frontcourt. The 6’7 forward has a motor that does not stop on either end and is tough to keep off the glass. Anyichie is a good shot-blocker as he uses his combination of length and athleticism to swat shots. He is developing his post game and can draw contact around the rim.
Cameron Downs Cameron Downs 6'4" | SF Pemberton | 2022 State NJ , 6’4 SF Pemberton
Downs had a breakout debut season for Pemberton and it should continue in 2021-22. The 6’4 forward is at his best attacking the basket as he is a good finisher and can draw contact. Downs is an underrated shooter as he is capable of hitting open jumpers on the perimeter. He is a strong rebounder and makes plays on the defensive end. Downs looks to be one of the more productive players in the BCSL again as Pemberton looks to make noise in the sectional tournament this season.
