Conference Preview: GAC North
<p>Prep Hoops Missouri continues its preseason conference previews with a look at the Gateway Athletic Conference North Division. It should be a very competitive race with Orchard Farm, St. Charles, St. Charles West and Winfield all battling.</p>
<h4>The Starting Five</h4>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="1180619" first="DJ" last="Gillespie"] 6’0" Winfield: An 2022 point guard who earned All-Conference honors as a junior. He averaged 13 points, three rebounds and two assists a game as a junior.</p>
<p>Brady Wolf 5’10" Orchard Farm: A very good 2023 point guard who returns after having a big sophomore season in which he averaged 16 points, four rebounds and two assists a game while shooting 40 percent from 3-point range.</p>
<p>[player_tooltip player_id="1312119" first="Ryan" last="Grimmett"] 5’10" St. Charles: A 2022 point guard with excellent speed and quickness with the ability to score. He averaged eight points, four assists and two steals a game as a junior.</p>
<p><span style="font-size: 1rem;">Braden Goellner 6’6" St. Charles West: An athletic 2022 forward who is an All-State high jumper in track and field. His leaping ability translates to the basketball court where he is an excellent scorer and rebounder inside.</span></p>
<p>Joseph McLaurin 5’11" Orchard Farm: A solid 2022 combo guard who returns after averaging 13.3 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.7 steals a game as a junior.</p>
