The Class of 2025 has bright players from the top to the bottom and this article will breakdown which players will have a big impact right away in their freshmen year.

[player_tooltip player_id="1176301" first="Latavious" last="Morris"]- 5’7 Point Guard "Atrisco Heritage" Class of 2025

Freshman Guard [player_tooltip player_id="1176301" first="Latavious" last="Morris"] is set to join one of the best basketball programs in the state under Head Coach Adrian Ortega of Atrisco Heritage Academy. After reaching the 5A semifinals last season, [player_tooltip player_id="1176301" first="Latavious" last="Morris"] can bring a lot to the table for Atrisco Heritage this year. The best parts of his game is making his teammates better around him playing the Point Guard position. His biggest strengths is being able to break down defenses and being able to be coachable. During the off-season he played with the "Albuquerque Basketball Club" and some of his best games were against the #2 team in the nation (Team Griffin). He scored 30 points on them and another 30 points against (Team Rotary). His leadership and scoring ability will be another huge boost for Atrisco making another run at the 5A State Championship.

[player_tooltip player_id="1176300" first="Kenyon" last="Aguino"]- 6’5 Power Forward "Volcano Vista" Class of 2025

[player_tooltip player_id="1176300" first="Kenyon" last="Aguino"] is one of the top young big men we have currently in New Mexico and within the next few years expect him to be one of the top players in the state. At his size of 6’5 some of his best skills and strengths are in the low and mid post. His size and low post skills will definitely be a bonus for Volcano Vista who is one of the most consistent basketball programs in New Mexico led by Coach Greg Brown. He also brings good spacing to the floor and can play off the ball. He played for team "Swoosh" in the off-season and had some of his best games in the Vegas Big Time Tournament. Expect [player_tooltip player_id="1176300" first="Kenyon" last="Aguino"] to have a solid freshmen campaign this year.

[player_tooltip player_id="1176305" first="Hudson" last="Brown"]- 5’8 Point Guard "Volcano Vista" Class of 2025

Volcano Vista Point Guard [player_tooltip player_id="1176305" first="Hudson" last="Brown"] will have a nice impact right away for the Hawks this season with several great skills and strengths. His best skills are his hard work ethic, shooting, passing and leadership that we saw from his club team "Swoosh". For the Hawks this season he can bring non-stop pressure and his relentlessness to play both sides of the ball. He plays at a nice speed of the game and has great shooting that every team needs. He also makes the right decisions with his passing ability and has a nice basketball IQ. During the off-season for "Team Swoosh" he had 27 points vs a very athletic West Coast team and had another 16 points and 6 assists in the Big Time Championship in Las Vegas. Expect [player_tooltip player_id="1176305" first="Hudson" last="Brown"] to be a huge contributor with his all-around game for Volcano Vista in his freshman year.

[player_tooltip player_id="1176299" first="Daniel" last="Lovato"]- 6’5 Power Forward "La Cueva" Class of 2025

Freshman [player_tooltip player_id="1176299" first="Daniel" last="Lovato"] will be a player that has a huge impact right away this season with his skills being dominant in the paint and a beast on the boards. He can also shoot from range which is very vital for any big man in today’s game. On his club team "Albuquerque Basketball Club", we seen his great leadership in the off-season where he would bring his team together when it was necessary. He has good court vision and passing IQ as well. Some of his best performances this past off-season were out of town. With a very young and talented La Cueva Bears team this season, expect [player_tooltip player_id="1176299" first="Daniel" last="Lovato"] to be an instrumental part of that young core this year.

[player_tooltip player_id="1300481" first="Gabe" last="Trujillo"]- 5’10 Combo Guard "West Mesa" Class of 2025

West Mesa’s Guard [player_tooltip player_id="1300481" first="Gabe" last="Trujillo"] is one of the most underrated of his 2025 Class. He has great ball handling, great scoring abilities and is a team player who makes others around him better. What he can bring to the table is 3 level scoring and being able to control the ball and run an offense effectively. His AAU team is the West Texas Blazers and he averaged 19 points per game in the prep hoops circuit this past summer. Some of the best games he played was in Arizona, where he had 39 points in one game and averaged 26 points per game throughout the tourney. He is already receiving D2 interest and will receive more throughout the rest of his high school career.

[player_tooltip player_id="1176302" first="Cameron" last="Dyer"]- 6’1 Shooting Guard "La Cueva" Class of 2025

[player_tooltip player_id="1176302" first="Cameron" last="Dyer"] will have a huge impact for the La Cueva Bears this season making a run at the 5A state championship this season. Some of his best skills/strengths are that he is lengthy and versatile. He can make plays off of the dribble and is very good on the ball as well. He takes a lot of pride in playing on the defensive side of the ball and takes on the challenge guarding the opposing team's best offensive players. During the off-season, he played for the "Albuquerque Basketball Club" and brought much-needed leadership to the team. Some of his best games this past summer was when he averaged 23 points per game and 3 steals per game while leading his team to the championship this past summer. The La Cueva Bears are looking like one of the top contenders in the 5A Class and expect [player_tooltip player_id="1176302" first="Cameron" last="Dyer"] to be a huge factor this season.
