Kaden Doleman, 5’11 Point Guard, Perry Lecompton: After averaging 8.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and over a steal a game last year and with the departure of star guard Parker Stone, Doleman has a chance to garner a much larger role for the Kaws this season and turn some heads. He has elite level speed and burst both with and without the ball, the athleticism to go play up at the rim, and his pull up jump shot game in the mid range is lethal.
Mason Thomas Mason Thomas 6'4" | SF Royal Valley | 2022 State KS , 6’3 Guard, Royal Valley: A player who will have a much more expanded role especially with handling the ball with some key departures this offseason, Thomas will have to expand his game to assist forward Brady Klotz Brady Klotz 6'4" | SF Royal Valley | 2022 State KS . Thomas’s ability to shoot the ball always plays a big role in what he is able to do on the floor, but much more of a tall task will fall on the long guard. Should be fun to see his game expand.
Seth Clark Seth Clark 6'2" | SG Junction City | 2022 State KS , 6’2 Guard, Junction City: Came on late last high school season to give Junction City a boost down the stretch and carried that momentum into a huge grassroots season, garnering a couple of Division III offers in the process. An elite level shooter, springy bounce, and strong finisher in transition who will have a much larger role in the scheme of things this season, make him a prime breakout candidate.
Joey Robinson Joey Robinson 6'1" | CG Blue Valley Northwest | 2022 State KS , 6’1 Guard, Blue Valley Northwest: Coming off a great season in more of a role situation averaging 11 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game, the thought here is that Robinson is poised to become that “guy” in the back court along with Stubberfield to really elevate himself and Blue Valley Northwest back to the top of the totem pole once again. Robinson should see more usage to really highlight his games and the expansion it took this off season. Terrific shooter, decision maker, defender, and play maker.
Pearse Long Pearse Long 6'5" | SF Lawrence | 2022 State KS , 6’5 Wing/Forward, Lawrence: Posting 9.5 points per game last year with 4.5 rebounds per contest helping Lawrence to a big season alongside Zeke Mayo. Long is another big time player who will see a much more expanded role entering the season who should see his output sky rocket. Shot it around 32% from 3 last season but hit some really big shots in big games and his shooting this spring and summer showed the that long wing player can raise that easily.
