Way Too Early Season Preview: Stellar Seniors

<p>Can’t wait for the upcoming H.S season! I’m super excited to get a look at a wide range of players. Nothing is as special as senior year. After 3 years of hard work, senior season is supposed to see the fruit of that labor. In this article, we take a look at some of the top c/o 2022 players, ready to make their final high school season a special one. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1076693" first="Joren" last="Mirabal"] <em>6’2 SG Magdalena (#9)</em> - Mirabal is looking to piggyback off a monster junior season. He averaged over 28ppg and displayed a knack for going off. The 6’2 wing scored in double figures in every game last season and had 6 games of 30 or more. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1076668" first="Sean" last="Johnson"] <em>6’6 SF Sandia (#4)</em> <em>(featured image)</em> - Johnson is a big-time athlete that will be almost impossible to stop. The wing will probably spend time at every position for Sandia, as he has the ability to handle and score in the paint. He’s coming off a season where he averaged over 23ppg, so he will be expected to lead once again. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1285510" first="Lane" last="Clavel"] <em>6’1 SG Roy Mosquero (#47)</em> - Clavel showed that he can do a little bit of everything last year. He shot it well from behind the arc, finishing the season with multiple threes in 10 out of 12 games last year. The guard also attacked the glass hard, grabbing almost 10 boards per game. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1076686" first="Anthony" last="Sanchez"]<em> 5’11 SG Bosque (#52)</em> - Sanchez returns ready to do damage in his senior season. Last year the 2 guard averaged over 17ppg for the Bobcats. Although only playing 7 games, Sanchez showed that he was one of the top shooters in the state, knocking down 3’s at a %50 clip last year. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1076695" first="Aaron" last="Mora"] <em>6’6 C Hobbs (#24)</em> - You know what you’re getting when Mora suits up. The throwback big does damage in the paint. He averaged a double-double last season, averaging over 14ppg to go with along with 11 boards per game. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1076669" first="Jalen" last="Goar"] <em>6’0 PG Hobbs (#8)</em> - Goar is part of a solid 1-2 punch for the Eagles. The PG will team with Mora to be the main producers for Hobbs. Goar, was the leading scorer as a junior and is only expected to get better. He put up over 16ppg last year to go along with a team high 4 assists per game.
