Coach Wootten's Top 150 Camp: Most Dynamic Post Prospects

Coach Wootten brought his legendary Top 150 Camp along with the top-performing senior, junior, and sophomore prospects from across the country to Mansfield, Texas for a weekend filled with high-level coaching, and next-level basketball techniques, and IQ development from Coach Wooten himself. This along with his elite agility underneath the rim will also make him a handful to defend at Vanderbilt next year as well. [player_tooltip player_id="781880" first="Lee" last="Dort"] was an incredible force of nature down low, just an absolute beast any where near the rim. He had full control of the offensive glass and picked up several putback dunks. Dort slam-dunked so hard he nearly pulled down the entire goal. Big-time senior season coming for this top-ranked prospect. <hr /> Cameron Corhen | Height: 6’10" | Sunrise Christian Academy | C/o ’22 Cameron Corhen’s future in the game of basketball is very bright, the recent Florida State commit, returned to Texas and flat out dominated the competition, proving himself to be not only the top center in the building but also one of the best centers in the entire nation. Corhen and the super quick moves he displayed out of his drop step couldn’t be contained. As soon as Cameron got around his defenders he finished with some type of powerful two-handed slam dunk, showing off his explosiveness while leaping off of two feet. Corhen also had a go-to jump-hook shot where he got great enough elevation and extension to consistently get the shot over 7-footers even when contested. On the defensive side of the ball, Cameron Corhen shut the pick-and-roll down and cut off every opportunity for his opponent to score in the paint. His discipline was superb, never leaving his feet until the ball went into the air, leading him to block countless shots throughout the weekend. <hr /> Bol Kuir | Height: 7’3" | Belfry HS | C/o ’22 The most unique and intriguing prospect of them all had to be the highly touted center, Bol Kuir. His gifted measurables went unmatched, such incredible length, Bol’s standing reach gave him the ability to touch the bottom of the rim without ever leaving his feet, allowing Bol Kuir to easily play above the rim, dunking over everyone effortlessly, showing good bounce and balance off two feet in the paint. To go along with Kuir’s unbelievable size and strength is his supermassive hand size which he used to palm the basketball like a toy. The potential for this senior recruit is through the roof, watch out for him to become a notable name at the collegiate level sooner than later. <hr /> Felix Okpara | Height: 6’11" | Link Academy | C/o ’22 Felix Okpara is a college-ready center with fluid mobility in the open floor, he can jump out of the gym, has next-level strength, and a top-of-the-line motor that just won’t quit. Okpara utilized his insane explosiveness and powerful ways to protect the rim, throwing shots left and right under the basket, chase down blocking guys, and pinning shots off the backboard with one and two hands. Okpara had multiple instances where he ran the full length of the court to defend the paint, displaying terrific foot speed to go along with his excellent timing and anticipation for the shot. The best shot-blocker in the gym, by far, was Felix Okpara. Reed did an amazing job of playing off of the block and moving without the ball always staying high or wide often using sneaky cuts through the lane looking for quick opportunities. Excellent scoring instincts, great feet, good use of his shoulders to create space, and impressive quickness on his post moves, especially his spin-off. The relentless ability Reed displayed to beat his man off the dribble inside the three-point line using jab steps and pump fakes to get all the way to the rim blew me away, very light and agile for someone carrying 230 pounds at 6-foot-9. The most unstoppable skill [player_tooltip player_id="787357" first="Matt" last="Reed"] showcased was his remarkable shooting prowess, you must account for this guy at all times and always be ready to contest Reed well before he touches the ball or else he will quickly go into his shooting motion whether he's challenged or not. <hr /> Luke McEldon | Height: 6’10" | Cushing Academy | C/o ’23 Luke McEldon is filled with raw skills and potential from top to bottom. Great physical tools, grippy hands, caught every ball thrown his way, and showed fantastic leaping ability near the basket with the height and physicality to compete with any post player in the country. <hr />
