The start of practice is 10 days away. Here’s a look at some of the best players who are coming back from injury this season.

[player_tooltip player_id="926887" first="Rylee" last="Samons"], Pikeville - Pikeville's season went into a tailspin after Samons tore his knee up in February. Rylee missed the rest of his Junior season and all of his 17u AAU season but should be back in time for his Senior campaign. If the 6'7 wing is back to his old self, Pikeville will be back in the mix for the regional title.

[player_tooltip player_id="926899" first="Andru" last="Markham"], Fern Creek - Another victim of a knee injury, Andru didn't play in the Covid shortened 2021 season but should be back to 100% for his Senior campaign with the Tigers. Markham is a shifty wing with a high skill level. He just needs to stay healthy and he could see some scholarships coming his way late in the year.

[player_tooltip player_id="801600" first="Aden" last="Nyekan"], Barren County - Aden's season was cut short with an ACL injury early in his Junior season but is nearly back to 100% after missing 8 months. Nyekan was a standout at our PH Top 250 last month and looks to be improved as a shooter and ball handler as he gets his agility back.

[player_tooltip player_id="932772" first="Jack" last="Edelen"], Male - Jack missed his Sophomore season with a broken foot and then transferred to Male after two seasons at Ballard. Edelen was back for July AAU this summer and looked to be all the way back from injury. The floor general had multiple huge scoring games over the summer and will look to get the Bulldogs back to Rupp.

[player_tooltip player_id="1088829" first="Jayden" last="Miles"], Western - Miles started at Western as an 8th grader but missed last year after knee surgery but looks primed for a huge season as a Sophomore. At 6'8 and still growing, Jayden has elite size and his skill set is quickly catching up to his raw abilities. Look for Jayden to make an impact in his Sophomore campaign.

[player_tooltip player_id="938536" first="Will" last="Bishop"], Lincoln County - Bishop played one game before a knee injury ended his Freshman season after one game. Will has also transferred to Lincoln County from Rockcastle and the Patriots will be in the mix for 12th region title if he is back to the same player he was as an 8th grader.
