Carrolton, Texas was the host of our most recent Prep Hoops Top 250 Expo and it brought out some of the most prominent, competitive, and talented basketball prospects in the state of Texas. This exposure camp gave many underrated recruits the opportunity to showcase their skills, gain exposure, and experience while competing against the best of the best. The day was filled was action and highlight reels from every grade level from Freshmen to Seniors. Here we take a look at some of the most impactful Freshmen, Sophomore, and Junior shooting marksmen of the day.

[player_tooltip player_id="1295824" first="Ethan" last="Nguyen"] | Wylie HS | C/o 2025

An instinctual scoring weapon with a multitude of ways of getting a bucket, [player_tooltip player_id="1295824" first="Ethan" last="Nguyen"] picked his spots well and never forced anything. Ethan showed a solid handle that either got him inside or created the space needed for him to thrive. There were also times where Nguyen seemed much more effective playing off the ball, shredding defenses with his quick catch and shoot sniper release when spotting up and shooting on balance, always keeping his feet and body squared with rim before stepping into his shot under control and with consistency. This offensive mastermind really put his scoring versatility on display as he showed off his creative ways of posting a defender up to receive the ball before turning and facing up or operating with his back to the basket where he often beat guys with strength and his quick deceptive first step. This freshman prospect displayed an abundance of potential, as he grows and becomes more aggressive he’s really going to start turning heads.

[player_tooltip player_id="1056523" first="Jackson" last="Prince"] | Duncanville HS | C/o 2024

Once [player_tooltip player_id="1056523" first="Jackson" last="Prince"] got it going from long-range it was over for his competition. His footwork while pulling up or setting up beyond the arc was highly impressive and precise, good feel for the court, he always knew where the three-point line was without looking down. Prince’s knack for moving off the ball to space the floor allowed him to find several openings in the corners, which were hot spots for him. This kid put on a show with his outstanding shooting stroke, going on to have a game where he snapped and nailed an efficient 9 three-pointers. Jackson Prince also showed off another aspect of his game as a very underrated passer, particularly on the move where he was able to throw guys open. He’s someone that could fill the spot of any team in need of a true three-point shooter. [player_tooltip player_id="1295821" first="Anthon" last="McDermott"] displayed a lights-out shooting stroke when left wide open alongside a consistent ability to hit jumpers with a hand in his face.

[player_tooltip player_id="1295867" first="Adam" last="Sais"] | Waco Unitveristy HS | C/o 2025

5-foot-8, [player_tooltip player_id="1295867" first="Adam" last="Sais"] did the majority of damage by pulling up inside and outside of the arc. His stop and pop jumper proved to be his bread and butter and way too difficult for defenders to guard effectively. Very efficient pull-up jumper, even while leaning, falling off balance, or shooting a heavily contested shot, he kept a consistent shooting form, the same elevation, and kept his eyes locked onto his target the entire time. Sais showcased good shooting techniques, a quick trigger release, along with a fluid shooting motion. But his feel for the game really stood out, caught my attention, and consistently led Sais to the right spot at the right time, making timely cuts to the basket, finding openings from beyond the arc, and always in the best position at the most opportune times in the passing lanes.

[player_tooltip player_id="1172865" first="Jayden" last="Saa"] | Rockwall HS | C/o 2023

[player_tooltip player_id="1172865" first="Jayden" last="Saa"] made his presence felt as a knockdown sharpshooter with an automatic jumpshot. This sharpshooter put on a shooting clinic, anytime Saa let one fly, he was sure to get the bucket especially when he had rhythm and rotation under it. Every shot he made was the product of good balance and elevation, whether he released one off the dribble or off the catch. Jayden also showed the ability to make jumpers in limited space using pump fakes, jab steps, and side steps to get off a clean look. Great floor spacer, his knack for spreading the floor and moving without the ball helped make him one of the purest and most dangerous shooting specialists of them all. [player_tooltip player_id="1172865" first="Jayden" last="Saa"] is a noteworthy name, his potential to extend his range and become a high-level shooter from deep should not go unnoticed.
