Here’s a look at part one of the many 2023 standouts that will be in attendance.
Will Bonde Will Bonde 6'7" | PF Miller School | 2023 State VA | 6’7” PF | Miller School
Bonde is part of a very talented Miller School group that is deep at the wing and forward position, but he could be the x-factor for them this year with his versatility and ability to space the floor at his size. At 6’7” Bonde is a great shooter from deep and efficient in catch-and-shoot situations, he can make passes on the perimeter to get guys easy shots and he’s a good rebounder as well.
Ryan Hite Ryan Hite 6'3" | PG King's Fork | 2023 State VA | 6’2” PG | King’s Fork
Hite is set to have a breakout year at King’s Fork as part of a very good backcourt, and with his mix of size, strength and athleticism as well as a good skill set he has the chance to put college coaches on notice over the next few weekends. The 6’2” guard is a natural leader that can make others better, he can attack and finish through contact regularly and he can stick it from deep when he’s open as well.
Sam Brannen | 6’0” CG | King’s Fork
Brannen is the x-factor for this KF group this year after transferring from Norfolk Collegiate, and he’s a highly skilled combo who can play on and off the ball and makes winning plays consistently. He’s an excellent shooter off the catch and from deep, he can make plays in the pick-and-roll and he makes big time plays on the defensive end too.
Kaleb Brown Kaleb Brown 6'3" | SG King's Fork | 2023 VA | 6’2” WG | King’s Fork
Brown is another skilled guard for the Bulldogs that can fill it up and play multiple guard positions, and he’s one of the top shooters in the 757 as well. A strongly built off guard that can play through contact and brings it on both ends, Brown is lightning in a bottle offensively with his ability to get hot quickly and shoot it from deep and he’s an excellent help side defender as well.
Jadon Pace Jadon Pace 6'4" | SF Kecoughtan | 2023 State VA | 6’4” WG | Kecoughtan
Pace made a name for himself last year in the CBG Winter Series with the 522 Warriors, and it’s only a matter of time before coaches realize his ability as a 3-and-d guy at the next level. At 6’4”, Pace is a very good shooter with deep range and great confidence, he’s very consistent from deep and can get hot quickly and he has great length and size on the defensive end of the floor.
Justin Bass Justin Bass 5'11" | PG Kecoughtan | 2023 State VA | 6’0” PG | Kecoughtan
Bass is another player that made a name for himself in the CBG Winter Series with the 522 Warriors, and he’s a dynamic playmaking guard with good quickness and a good motor on both ends. He has a quick first step and is shifty off the bounce, he can create space and make shots from multiple levels and he can make plays for others by living in the lane.
Myles Derricot Myles Derricot 6'2" | SG Varina | 2023 State VA | 6’3” WG | Varina
Derricot heads to Varina after a breakout sophomore season at Patrick-Henry, and he is one of the most underrated players in the 804 and has a lot of tools that make him an intriguing prospect. He’s a very good athlete that can finish at the rim in traffic, he can play both on and off the ball and he’s an excellent shot maker at multiple levels with the ability to make tough shots.
