Issac Mothersill – Chaminade-Madonna
2025 Issac Mothersill moves to Chaminade-Madonna after playing at Avante Garde Academy. The 5-foot-10 point guard averaged an impressive 14.3 points, 4.3 assists, 3.5 steals and 3.3 rebounds for the Sharks. Overall, he shot 57 percent on his two-point field goals. Those are impressive numbers for an eighth grader. Mothersill’s early experience should work to his advantage. I think he will be confident on the floor for Chaminade-Madonna. It’s a test and an opportunity for him to shine against better competition.
Jesus Rivas Jesus Rivas 6'9" | PF Brito | 2022 State FL – Miami High
2022 Jesus Rivas Jesus Rivas 6'9" | PF Brito | 2022 State FL should have an instant impact with the Stingarees. At Brito, the 6-foot-9 forward/center averaged 11.6 points, 12.6 rebounds and five blocks per game. Rivas averaged a double-double as a sophomore as well. His consistency is a huge plus to me. I love Rivas’ frame and ability to block shots at 220+ pounds in the paint. Therefore, he is durable and reliable over 32 minutes. On offense, he has nice power and finish. He might be a bit underrated in Miami-Dade County. You can go to battle with this kid and get a great effort night in and night out.
Letrell Flenor – Miami Killian
2024 Letrell Flenor is a lengthy prospect that previously spent time at South Miami. He averaged 11 points, nine rebounds and two blocks per game as a freshman. Flenor will only get better in the post as he puts on more weight. I think his offensive game has upside. However, I already like him as a defensive player with his ability to rebound and block shots. Flenor has bounce to swat balls away. He has a lot of promise with time.
Jaylen Coats – North Miami
2022 Jaylen Coats moves to the Pioneers from Miami Beach. The 6-foot-4, 175-pound Coats averaged 12 points and 9.1 rebounds per game while shooting 42 percent from the field. I think Coats has some versatility at shooting guard or small forward. While a good shooter, I think Coats has more to show, particularly from the outside. He sparingly made shots from deep with Miami Beach. I’d like to see him expand his shot making a bit. However, Coats is a great rebounder on either side. North Miami has a lot of depth at guard and forward. Adding Coats gives them another look in their lineup.
Anthony Salazar Anthony Salazar 6'4" | SF Archbishop Carroll | 2022 State FL – Miami Palmetto
2022 Anthony Salazar Anthony Salazar 6'4" | SF Archbishop Carroll | 2022 State FL is a solid wing/forward now with Palmetto. The 6-foot-4 Salazar previously spent time at Archbishop Carroll and Champagnat. Salazar averaged 14 points and ten rebounds per game. He will provide a lot of problems with his length and size. Credit his athleticism as a shot blocker as well. Salazar can do a bit of everything on the floor. This is a Miami Palmetto team people need to watch out for. Remember, they bring in Jimel Lane Jimel Lane 6'7" | PF Palmetto | 2022 State FL and Braylon Burbridge Braylon Burbridge 6'2" | PG Miami Palmetto | 2024 State FL as well. They can throw a lot at you over the course of 32 minutes.
