After a rough season last year, Emporia has been impressive with a 5-1 record so far this year. The Spartans are mounting a very balanced effort. Peters is leading the team in scoring and has had a couple of big totals. He went for 23 in the opener against Ottawa. He tossed in 20 in Emporia’s first loss of the season against Great Bend. Peters and company endured a lot and are now a team to be reckoned with.
