WDA: Preseason All-Conference Team

<p>It is getting to be that time of year where it is fun and interesting to make predictions for the upcoming basketball season. Today we are looking at Class-A in North Dakota for the WDA. </p> <h2><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>WDA PRESEASON ALL-CONFERENCE </strong></span></h2> <h4><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>PLAYER OF THE YEAR</strong></span></h4> <p><a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2021/05/eaglestaff-crop-951x625-1622126191.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1202665" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2021/05/eaglestaff-crop-951x625-1622126191-300x197.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="197" /></a></p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1046352" first="Treysen" last="Eaglestaff"] (2022) |6-5 SF| Bismarck/D1 Minnesota</strong></p> <p>The UND commit is easily the most gifted player in the WDA. I predict that he scores over 30 ppg. Besides scoring, Trey can set up teammates and handle the rock. He is also a sneaky and clever defender. When the Demons put on the pressure, expect Eaglestaff to create problems with his length, athleticism, and anticipation. Alex is a gifted and electric player on the offensive end. He is quick and smooth with the ball in his hands. Dvorak is as good as anyone at creating his own shot. He also impressed many this summer in AAU ball. Doppler is an elite scorer and shooter. He is a big, strong, and athletic guard. Anthony can light it up from outside, slash for layups, and post up smaller guards. Minot could have the two best defenders in the WDA. Darik can lock up on the ball and also play solid team-D. He had a phenomenal showing this summer with ND Attack. Darik has become a real threat from beyond the arc. He has become more consistent and has extended his range. Dissette is another great cutter from Minot and he can finish above the rim. He is a timely scorer and a serious threat from beyond the arc. Wentz is great at attacking off the bounce and an even better cutter. Minot plays tough team defense and one of those reasons is because of Wentz. Look for Eric to be a top defender in the WDA. He will be a double-double player. Ryan had a great summer with ND Phenom and he showed that he can compete with top talent. I was very impressed with his passing, footwork, and soft shooting touch.
