This past weekend The Hoop Circuit College Prospect Camp took place at the Beaverton Hoop YMCA and it was filled with talented prospects from throughout the Pacific Northwest. There in attendance were also a number of top-ranked players from the state of Oregon who showcased their talents in front of the many Division II, Division III, NAIA, and JC coaches in attendance.

We dropped by the camp on Saturday and here’s a look at some of the top Class of 2023 players who were there (listed with most recent ranking):

#4 - [player_tooltip player_id="861096" first="Kavon" last="Bradford"], Benson

Bradford was effective in the action that we watched, especially creating and getting to the lane, and finishing around the hoop in acrobatic ways. His mid-range jumper was on and he showed good effort defensively.

#10 - [player_tooltip player_id="865367" first="Sean" last="Chris Tresvant"], Cleveland

Tresvant was effective playing with the ball, operating well in transition and tossing out some sweet-looking dimes to cutting teammates. He hit some jump shots for good measure. Tresvant has transferred to Cleveland for 2021-22.

#12 - [player_tooltip player_id="1232163" first="Jared" last="Sucher"], Sherwood

Sucher is coming off a big summer on the AAU scene with International Elite and impressed here. He was fairly sharp with his shot and was effective on the bounce and finishing at the hoop.

#17 - [player_tooltip player_id="861088" first="Graham" last="Eikenberry"], Lincoln

You always know what you are going to get out of Eikenberry and that’s a big man that’s going to run the floor, fight hard on the boards, defend the rim, and play with intensity. The recent transfer to Lincoln checked all of those boxes on Saturday.

#22 - [player_tooltip player_id="1152489" first="Skyler" last="Schmidt"], Scappoose

We only got a brief glimpse of the up-and-coming forward but we liked what we saw. At 6-foot-7 Schmidt has the size to battle inside but the shooting touch to position himself for open jumpers from the perimeter.

#28 - [player_tooltip player_id="1201007" first="Brady" last="Rice"], Beaverton

Rice never disappoints whenever we watch him play. He struggled with his shot the first game we saw but in the second, he was absolute money when open. He also did a nice job creating off the dribble and facilitating for others, in particular the star of the camp, Idaho native big man Blake Buchanan.

#42 - [player_tooltip player_id="1085791" first="Blake" last="Thune"], Mountainside

We only got a short glimpse of Thune during our time in the gym but when we glanced over, he was doing what we would expect him to do - get a bucket. It wasn’t a three though, he had actually created off the dribble and hit a fadeaway. Thune definitely has one of the top perimeter touches in the entire class.

#NR - [player_tooltip player_id="1315391" first="Amare" last="Rolle"], Westview

Rolle continues to develop offensively from the perimeter. He knocked down some open catch-and-shoot jumpers but also put the ball on the floor and got to the basket on one finish. He’s currently unranked strangely but that will be corrected soon.

#NR - Egan Shields, Ashland

Shields immediately caught our eye because he’s 6-foot-10 and has shoulders that could easily support more muscle. But he didn’t just pass the look test, he ran the floor well, had some strong finishes around the basket, and was tough on the boards. He too is currently unranked but you can be assured he will make it in the next update.

Some other juniors at the event that we briefly saw included:

#5 - [player_tooltip player_id="962928" first="Moroni" last="Seely-Roberts"], Lincoln
#6 - [player_tooltip player_id="962929" first="Malachi" last="Seely-Roberts"], Lincoln
#11 - [player_tooltip player_id="1232162" first="Christian" last="Green"], Cleveland
#16 - [player_tooltip player_id="865366" first="Gray" last="Thompson"], Central Catholic
#47 - [player_tooltip player_id="1085793" first="Jaylin" last="Ormond"], Mountainside
#52 - [player_tooltip player_id="1256645" first="Josiah" last="Lake"], Tualatin
#68 - [player_tooltip player_id="1256721" first="D’Angelo" last="Tupper"], Roosevelt
#72 - [player_tooltip player_id="861084" first="Breyan" last="Kelly"], Sherwood
#82 - [player_tooltip player_id="861093" first="Jamel" last="Pichon"], Cleveland
#NR - William Holboke, Sunset
#NR - Matthew Verkamp, Sherwood
