Team comments from Jordan Maurer

"Due to several of the top players in the class of 2022 playing with out-of-state AAU programs, or playing multiple sports, for lack of a better word, our season was unique. One weekend our team may have been mostly Bismarck/Mandan kids, and another weekend our team may have been a collection of high-level talent from across the state. We used 16 different players over the course of the season. It was a fun end to the season as we won our division in the Summer Slam, went 3-3 the final weekend of SPTS, and beat a team who had beat us in April, and then we finished the season with a win in Las Vegas. Special shout out to [player_tooltip player_id="1165553" first="Ben" last="Morman"] who has battled several knee injuries over the course of his career and I am so thrilled he was able to get a championship win in his last Phenom tournament. On a personal note, huge thanks to the Twins and the Treys for helping us out in Las Vegas. [player_tooltip player_id="1046360" first="Aaron" last="Grubb"] was new to the Phenom this year and [player_tooltip player_id="812226" first="Trey" last="Brandt"] only played with us in Las Vegas, but the other 7 players who played in the Fantastic 40 started and ended their AAU careers playing in a North Dakota Phenom uniform, and having them represent us on a national stage is truly special to me. Thanks the all of the families for making the season successful."

"It was an honor to be able to coach these different players and I look forward to following their senior seasons and their collegiate careers; whether it be in basketball, football, track, and field, or any of the other plethora of options this group has."
