About Soren

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

A stretch 4 who can shoot the 3 at a high percentage, elite defender who can guard 1-5, athletic, can run the floor.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Mentally tough, persistent and determined, outgoing, have a lot of friends on and off the court. Like connecting and meeting new people.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I participated in Koins for Kenya in April 2024 by helping to raise over $100k. Was fortunate to be able to travel to Africa and help a village build a new school, restrooms, desks and water supply and present academic scholarships to some of the local kids, with the money we raised. While there I was also able to run basketball clinics for the local kids to teach them skills.It was life changing.

Ries is a dominant force for this Highland team that finished one win short of the state championship last season. Returning for his Senior season I expect this kid to be on a mission. He’s the Rams main source of energy and you can tell his teammates trust in him and his ability to take over a game at any time. Their leading scorer from last season is gone, and Head Coach Chris Jones will be leaning on his big man to show out this season. We could see a stat line of points in the high teens and double-digit rebounds for one of the best prospects in the state. A game to watch for sure will be Dec. 16th in their rematch with defending state champions Olympus and fellow big man Oliver Clark. Fireworks.

Ries had a lot of promise coming into high school and now he is entering his senior season and he is starting to really ply the part of that do it all 4-man. Ries is just scratching the surface and that could really bring more suitors his way. Ries can shoot and play in that mid-post area and step out and hit the long ball. That is style of play a lot of teams are looking for in the 4 and 5 spots at the D1 level. He has a shot.

Soren is another player that has gotten stronger over the past few years. He is very good off the bounce and his shot is also solid and developing. A ;ot of upside. He has NJCAA no doubter talent but he could be a solid 4-year university recruit. Maybe a D2 or a LM D1.
