The updated rankings are finally here as the last day of August comes. Players rose their stocks in a big way in this update, resulting in big jumps in the rankings. Here are the top stock-risers from the 2023 rankings update.

[player_tooltip player_id="1051493" first="Jared" last="DeMara"], 6’4 SG St. Joseph Academy

DeMara had the biggest jump in the updated rankings as he went up 29 spots. The 6’4 wing is a big-time athlete who explodes off the floor and can finish above the rim. DeMara has a good handle, which he uses to get into the lane and does not mind contact. He has a nice release on his jumper and has the potential to defend multiple positions. DeMara’s stock is still going up, so he could go up more in the next update.

[player_tooltip player_id="1150263" first="Evan" last="Cabral"], 6’1 CG Don Bosco Prep

Cabral had a big summer season, resulting in a 26-spot jump in the update. The 6’1 guard is at his best attacking the basket as he is a strong finisher around the rim and can hit layups through contact. Cabral has a good handle and knows how to find his teammates in the half court. He is a tough on-ball defender as he moves his feet well and gets his hands on deflections. Cabral is a gritty, two-way guard who should have a big junior season for the Ironmen.

[player_tooltip player_id="902743" first="Quatrell" last="Wilson"], 6’5 SF Newark East Side

Wilson rose 22 spots in the update and is a fast-rising prospect in the class. The 6’5 wing can get to the rim from the perimeter and can finish above the rim. Wilson attacks the glass on both ends and is tough to box out. He uses his length nicely on the defensive end to make plays. Wilson is a lanky wing prospect who should be a player to watch in Essex County this season.

[player_tooltip player_id="1152305" first="Chris" last="Vlahos"], 6’3 SG Notre Dame

Vlahos had a strong summer as he went up 21 spots in the rankings update. The 6’3 guard has a good shooting stroke as he wastes little motion in his jumper and can knock down triples in bunches. Vlahos is more than just a shooter as he can also put the ball on the floor and finish around the basket. He is a strong rebounder for a guard and is an underrated passer. Vlahos is a sharp-shooting guard who should be a prospect to watch in Mercer County this season.

[player_tooltip player_id="1150543" first="Will" last="Bradley"], 6’2 SG CBA

Bradley saw his stock go up 20 spots in the update after a good summer and strong performance at the NJ/NY/PA/DE August workout II. The 6’2 guard is a good shooter as he sets his feet before every shot and can get hot from distance in a hurry. Bradley moves exceptionally well off the ball, freeing himself up for easy layups and shots. He can also put the ball on the floor and is an underrated rebounder. Bradley’s ability to knock down jumpers from behind the arc is something that will help his stock in a big way as his varsity career progresses.
