WCE Weekend

<p>This past weekend WCE was in town with their yearly showcase. It was once again held at Juan Diego Catholic School in Draper. It was a great opening to show off Juan Diego’s new and revamped floor and gym. There were many players that really showed their talents that were local. There was also a mixture of players that made it from out of state as well. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="968091" first="Quincy" last="Hills"] || Copper Hills High School || 2022 ||</strong></p> <p>Quincy showcased his skills this past weekend. He was running the show but also breaking players down. He has improved his vision and the way he fills the lane with and without the ball. Quincy is poised to have a big year as he has the ability to pick up a lot of the scoring. Shifty guard that can create his own shot.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="968782" first="Koy" last="Berge"] || Timpview High School || 2022 ||</strong></p> <p>Koy is another player that has the skills to make it happen for himself and his his teammates. He has a great feel for the game and he can score the ball at multiple levels. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="968087" first="Tyler" last="Newbold"] || Bingham High School || 2022 ||</strong></p> <p>Tyler is a 3-4 because he has skills for either position. He has grit to his game as he is willing to get physical but he can also finesse his way on the offensive end. He has great touch with both hands on hooks or short running jumpers. Good looking shot from deep and the kid is willing to defend. Post game is nice especially with smaller guards on him. </p> <p><strong>Malik Diallo || Juan Diego Catholic || 2024 ||</strong></p> <p>Man amongst men. No brainer D1 kid that needs to be playing at the highest level in club and high school so he can be showcased. Best center in the building. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="968083" first="Devin" last="Carlson"] || Bingham High School || 2022 ||</strong></p> <p>Devin has sure matured and taken an extra step in his development. Devin was the best forward we saw. He can run and beat people up and down the floor and he can also time his trails. Rebounds his tail off and is active setting screens and crashing the boards, Athletic forward that will get up and throw it down. He has that fearless approach to his game now. </p>
