The 2022 class in North Carolina continues to show it's growth in the state. Here's a look at Part I of the 2022 Stock Risers heading into 2021-22.

[player_tooltip player_id="577847" first="Nikolas" last="Graves"] | 6’3 Point Guard | Greensboro Day School

From No. 31 to No. 17

Graves finds himself in the Top 20 at No. 17 in the latest 2022 rankings update. He's gotten a lot more aggressive over the past few months on both ends of the floor. He's improved his ballhandling and strength as a lead guard with solid instincts as a playmaker. Look for his stock to continue to grow with offers already from Austin Peay, Drexel, Western Carolina, Charlotte, Mercer and Boston University.

[player_tooltip player_id="932129" first="Xavier" last="McKelvy"] | 6’2 Guard | United Faith Christian Academy

From No. 42 to No. 36

McKelvy is another lead guard that's really risen his stock since the past high school season. He made waves as UFCA made it down to the NCISAA 1A Title game and continued to make noise with his strong frame and athleticism. He's fearless getting downhill and getting to the rim. As he shows consistency on his shot, look out. USC-Upstate, Winthrop, Radford, NC A&T, UNC-Asheville, App Stat and Jacksonville University have all offered him this summer.

[player_tooltip player_id="1204527" first="Jemez" last="Herd"] | 6’7 Wing/Forward | Olympic High

from No. 44 to No. 38

Herd is a prospect that turned heads this past spring/summer with Rod Howard Select. He's a mobile forward prospect with some versatility given his length. He flies around effortlessly for blocks/rebounds and makes things happen in the paint when he's on the floor. He's an underrated athlete with a ton of potential. Emory & Henry has offered him so far.

[player_tooltip player_id="574443" first="Camian" last="Shell"] | 5’10 Point Guard | Quality Education Academy

from No. 68 to No. 44

Shell is a floor general that's done a lot of learning in terms of leading by example and on the defensive end. He's improved his conditioning and strength while maintaining his ability to operate off the bounce and get to his spots. He competes on both ends of the floor and has a tenacious ability to finish through contact. Radford has offered him.

[player_tooltip player_id="577882" first="Moses" last="Tufts"] | 6’4 Guard/Wing | South Central

From No. 100 to No. 48

Tufts is due for a strong senior season after taking home the 3A/4A Conference Player of the Year award at South Central this past season. He's got a relentless motor that allows him to attack on all three levels and make an impact with his length. Defensively, he can guard multiple roles on the floor, allowing him to impact the game. Colleges in need of a hybrid guard/wing, look no further.

[player_tooltip player_id="848082" f irst="Noah" last="Ross"] | 6’6 Guard/Wing | Trinity Academy Raleigh

From No. 62 to No. 49

Ross has really come along in the 2022 class as a sharpshooter and leader on the wing. He's shown he can knock down shots in rhythm and put the ball on the floor and make plays in the paint. As he improves his strength and shows he can defend at a high level, look for his game to continue to grow. He's headed to UNC-Wilmington after this season.
