of Summerville High School who are in 5A Region 8. He has been a major producer for two seasons in a row but will have full reign of the offense in his Senior Season. Melvin turned many heads with his play for the
Charleston Raptors
this spring and summer, which helped his recruitment pick up steam quickly. Although he can score the ball at will, particularly in the paint, Teal affects winning in several ways including playmaking, rebounding, on-ball defending, and vocal leadership. Melvin has a strong frame to go with good positional size which will help him be ready to play his Freshman Year in College. Teal committed to Flager College on September 15th.

is the first name up on the Lower State 2025s Film Review and he is the highest-ranked prospect featured. Teal submitted his highlights from the Prelude League Season with
Charleston Raptors
where he was selected as an All-Star after a standout season. His tape was filled with offensive success including passing, interior scoring, perimeter shooting, and strong defense. He is a very physical player who knows how to use his frame to create space or get into opposing ball-handlers. Because Melvin is such a threat to score the ball, he draws lots of attention from the defense and he knows just when the window is open to find a teammate. He is a very balanced Point Guard who should be in for a monster Senior Season on the hardwood.
