<p>The new 2023 rankings are out.</p>

<p>We dive into the positional rankings. We start with the point guards for the junior class. </p>
<p> </p>
<p>A strong group at the top with some depth. </p>
<p>Here are the top-8 PG’s in the 2023 class:</p>
<p>1. [player_tooltip player_id="992477" first="Kylan" last="Boswell"] <strong>AZ Compass Prep</strong></p>
<p>One on the top lead guards on the West Coast. He already has next level 3pt range and his feel for the game is high. He plays with a good pace and uses his mind and skill to get the job done. His ability to change speeds, use the pick and roll to his advantage and shoot it from all levels makes his game go. </p>
<p>2. [player_tooltip player_id="994130" first="Isaiah" last="Kai"] <strong>Campo Verde</strong></p>
<p>The top pure PG in the class has some sizzle with his passes. He can pass them full court, drive/kick, blow by then dump it off and score it. He has an impressive pull-up from mid-range and he also changes speeds well plus knows how to hesitate to get defenders off balance. </p>
<p>3. [player_tooltip player_id="814039" first="Mark" last="Brown Jr"] <strong>Mountain Pointe</strong></p>
<p>A powerful scoring lead guard has a stocky frame, tight handle and can defend. He has a good burst in the lane and will find cutters. He likes the pull-up off the dribble or getting downhill with his thicker build. He will look to guide the Pride back to the 6A finals. </p>
<p>4. [player_tooltip player_id="1220368" first="Lincoln" last="Keinholz"] <strong>Castee</strong>l</p>
<p>A new player by way of South Dakota. He has great size and a strong upper body to handle contact. He can make passes with either hand and he can pull-up off the dribble from mid to the 3pt line. </p>
<p>5. [player_tooltip player_id="814517" first="Cohen" last="J Gonzales"] <strong>Mesquite </strong></p>
<p>A talented undersized guard is a dynamic scorer. His shooting stroke is pure and he gets incredible elevation on his jumper from mid to the 3. He can make it off the catch or pull. He is a better passer then he gets credited for and will look to get the Wildcats to the playoffs. </p>
<p>6. [player_tooltip player_id="1150195" first="Brigg" last="Wolfe"] <strong>MTV</strong></p>
<p>A bigger lead guard had a breakout soph campaign. They upset heavy favorite Mesa HS and ended up losing at Hamilton. Wolfe had his imprint in every game they played. He uses his tighter handle and bigger body to score it in the lane and will thread the needle to teammates. He changes speeds and his IQ and feel for the game jumps off the page. </p>
<p>7. [player_tooltip player_id="831121" first="Kota" last="Benson"] <strong>Mesa</strong></p>
<p>Another pure PG is a next level facilitator. He shows great timing with his passes and comes with a high IQ. The lefty sees plays developing quickly and can shoot it from the mid to the 3pt line. He has a nice handle and his mind works. He is transferring into Mesa from 1A Baboquivari where he put up gaudy numbers for 2 years. </p>
<p>8. [player_tooltip player_id="1032530" first="Vincent" last="Tedeschi"] <strong>Moon Valley</strong></p>
<p>A flashy point guard with advance passing, a tight handle and he can score. He will be heavily leaned on by the Rockets this upcoming season. His drive and kick is next level stuff and uses the pick and roll smartly. He can pull-up off the dribble from mid-range and hit the catch-3. </p>
