2022 Top Available Small Forwards

<p>Commitments are rolling in the 2022 class as Shawnee wing <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1013050" first="Andrew" last="Ball"]</strong> committed to Monmouth yesterday. The small forward group is still filled with available players who can make an impact at the next level. Here are the top available small forwards in the 2022 class.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="931028" first="Jack" last="Seidler"], 6’5 Marlboro</strong></p> <p>Seidler is one of the top available wings in the class and should have a big senior season. The 6’5 small forward attacks the basket hard and knows how to draw contact. Seidler has a good mid-range game and has a nice release on his jumper. He is a strong rebounder and an underrated passer. Seidler’s ability to impact the offense in multiple ways is something that should help his stock over the next couple of months.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="901963" first="Justin" last="Hawkins"], 6’6 Life Center Academy</strong></p> <p>Hawkins is an intriguing wing prospect in the class as he does a lot of things well. The 6’6 point forward can run the offense in a pinch as he has a good handle and finds his open teammates in the half court. Hawkins has a strong frame which he uses to draw contact close to the basket and is a good finisher around the rim. He is a tough rebounder on both ends of the floor and makes plays on the defensive end. Hawkins is a play-making wing prospect who has the potential to open eyes during the season.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="901974" first="Donovan" last="Long"], 6’6 Rutgers Prep</strong></p> <p>Long is one of the more slept on prospects in the class, but he should not be. The 6’6 forward plays with a motor that doesn’t stop on both ends and uses his athleticism to make plays on defense. Long is at his best attacking the basket as he is a good finisher and does not mind drawing contact close to the rim. He is tough to box out and has a nice release on his free throws. Long is a two-way wing prospect who should have a breakout senior season.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1012964" first="Joe" last="Carroll"], 6’7 Blair Academy</strong></p> <p>Carroll is more likely to play in the post at the next level, but can play on the perimeter in a pinch. The 6’7 forward has a clean shooting stroke and can knock down jumpers from distance in bunches. Carroll is more than just a shooter as he can also put the ball on the floor and draw contact. He is a strong rebounder and knows how to play defense in the post. Carroll is a sharp-shooting combo forward who has the potential to make noise this season.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="931029" first="Chase" last="Clarke"], 6’5 Newark Academy</strong></p> <p>Clarke has the athleticism to play either the three or the four at the next level, which should be on full display this season. The 6’5 forward has a physical frame which he uses to draw contact around the basket and is a good finisher. Clarke has an underrated handle and has the ability to knock down open jumpers on the perimeter. He rips down rebounds on both ends of the floor and has the length to defend multiple positions.
