With that said high school prospects earn offers at different levels, some earn them on the spot and some players have been tracked for sometime. either way, grassroots programs are doing a great job at placing their prospects at events where they can be seen.
It’s always great seeing players receive offers from different programs because it means that there are more eyes on all players across the state.
In the end players have to perform in order to be seen and there have been a handful of players across the state that have been doing so. This is a short list of players that have earned scholarship offers recently.
2024 6’6 G/W Brody Kozlowski Brody Kozlowski 6'8" | SF Corner Canyon | 2024 State #103 Nation UT || Corner Canyon High School || Utah Prospects ||
With a few schools tracking Brody and his exception range he has picked up and offer from Idaho State University as he earns his first Division 1 offer.
2022 6’9 F Jack Wistrcill Jack Wistrcill 6'8" | PF Olympus | 2022 State UT || Olympus High School || Utah Mountain Stars ||
Jack has been quietly plugging away all while making noise playing all over the country. Jack’s inside/outside game speaks for itself as he racked up his first Division 1 offer from Northern Arizona University.
2022 6’6 SG Dylan Jones Dylan Jones 6'6" | SG Westlake | 2022 State UT || Westlake High School || Salt Lake Rebels ||
Dylan’s sharp shooting is hard to miss as he doesn’t need much space and he can get his shots off and he has pulled an offer from Alberta University in Canada.
2022 6’4 CG Rex Sunderland Rex Sunderland 6'4" | PG Davis | 2022 State UT || Davis High School || Utah Prospects ||
Rex showed that he can play on the ball or off the ball at the highest level in grassroots basketball. Rex is in talks with many D1’s but has recently pulled offers from Utah Valley University and Idaho State University.
2021 6’4 G Gaige Savage Gaige Savage 6'2" | CG Cedar City | 2021 State UT || Cedar City High School ||
Gaige was able to lock up an offer from Snow College the NJCAA Division 1 program does a fantastic job developing talent and competing at a high level.
2021 6’6 G Jackson Holcombe Jackson Holcombe 6'6" | CG Timpanogos | 2021 State UT || Timpanogos High School || Utah Prospects/Salt Lake Rebels ||
Jackson was one of the hottest players on circuit playing as an unsigned senior. One of the best defenders in the country 1-4 as he was able to hold his own against players that carried many stars behind their names, Jackson signed with Utah Valley University and will play with them upon him returning from his LDS church mission.
6’0 PG Quentin Meza Quentin Meza 6'0" | PG Cyprus | 2023 State UT || Cyprus High School || Utah Prospects ||
Quentin was impressive all grassroots season. Quentin was able to score at all three levels against anything that was thrown against him. He is shifty and just smooth with the ball in his hands. Quentin has been offered his 1st Division 1 offer from Idaho State University.
