<p><strong>Bloomington, MN</strong> - The Prep Hoops Circuit ended this weekend and I was fortunate enough to watch the Hard Work Finals. I was at Jefferson High School taking in the 16U games on Saturday and Sunday. I saw great hustle, energy, grit, effort, and hard work!</p> <h5><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Alphabetically, here are the <strong>16U</strong> players that made the <strong>All-Hustle Team</strong></span>: </h5> <p><strong>Brett Hardy |6’3 G| Bloom/Illinois HoopsStars Gardner</strong></p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><em>Why?</em></span> His ball pressure was intense and impressive. Hardy played with high amounts of energy. He was a fun player to watch that got the most out of his effort. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="962266" first="Carson" last="Klein"] | 6’0 G| North Branch/Northstar Titans Stone</strong></p> <p><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Why?</span> </em>He followed his own shot and created extra possessions for his team. Klein plays with intensity and aggressiveness on defense. He had a big shot block late in the game on Saturday. Klein is a very competitive player. </p> <p><a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2021/08/kwon-1-crop-3024x1986-1628043148.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1258030" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2021/08/kwon-1-crop-3024x1986-1628043148-300x197.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="197" /></a></p> <p><strong>J’kwon Wise |6/3 G/F| Waterloo East/Waterloo Salvation</strong></p> <p><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Why?</span></em><em> </em>I was impressed with the effort he gave to force jump-balls. Wise is not afraid to scrap it up. He is a big-time shot blocker, averaging 3 a game in AAU hoops. I also thought it was great how he raced up and down the court. </p> <p><strong style="font-size: 1rem;">Kaden Christmann |5’11 G| Fargo Shanley/Next Level Basketball Academy</strong><span style="font-size: 1rem;"> </span></p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><em>Why?</em></span> He is going to be a sophomore. It did not matter on the score, he was giving 100% effort in the two games I watched of his. He was relentless at attacking the paint. Kaden was diving on the floor and making the most of every play possible. </p> <p><strong>Lawson Godfrey |6'1 G| Loyola Catholic/MN Crossfire Barger </strong></p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><em>Why?</em></span> He played with spirit and passion. Lawson was getting his hands on many passes. He was full of hustle and bustle. Godfrey also rebounded very well for a guard. </p> <p><a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2021/08/loganL-crop-1536x1009-1628040071.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1257983" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2021/08/loganL-crop-1536x1009-1628040071-300x197.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="197" /></a></p> <p><strong>Logan Lowther |6’2 F| Eastview/Minnesota Magic Elite</strong></p> <p><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Why?</span> </em>He was very physical and Logan appeared to embrace contact. Lowther was a hard-working defender and solid rebounder. He reminded me of a bull in a china shop. He looks to be a fierce and intense player. </p> <p><a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2021/06/Nathan-Fenske5.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1212424" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2021/06/Nathan-Fenske5-300x169.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="169" /></a></p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1167622" first="Nathan" last="Fenske"] |6’3 G| Lakeview/SW MN Stars</strong></p> <p><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Why?</span></em> For a 6’3 guard, he seems to block and alter many shots. Nathan was always husting full-speed back on defense. I saw many nice close-outs and box-outs from him as well. Fenske showed grit and toughness. </p> <p><a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2021/06/Pal-Wal1.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1212437" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2021/06/Pal-Wal1-300x169.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="169" /></a></p> <p><strong>6’5 [player_tooltip player_id="962297" first="Pal" last="Wal"] |6’5 G/F| Albert Lea/MN Lightning Ellerbusch</strong></p> <p><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Why?</span></em> He made this list because of his defense on the top of the Lightning press and trapping zone. Pal made a countless number of deflections. He also showed great hustle while making plays in fast-break situations. </p> <p><strong>Tyson Cooreman |6'4 F| Randolph/MN Lightning Ellerbusch</strong></p> <p><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Why?</span></em> I liked his physicality. I was impressed with the hard screens that he set for his teammates. Tyson was excellent at sealing the D down low. He was also a first-rate rebounder. </p> <p><a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2021/08/q-1-crop-3024x1986-1628042875.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1258024" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2021/08/q-1-crop-3024x1986-1628042875-300x197.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="197" /></a></p> <p><strong>6’0 [player_tooltip player_id="981148" first="Qiandre" last="Washington"] |6’0 G| Kingdom Prep/Kevon Looney Power 5</strong></p> <p><em><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Why?</span></em><em> </em>His offensive rebounding was as good as anyone I say all tournament. Washington was an absolute spark plug in the early game that I watched. He was hustling for loose balls and sprinted in transition. </p>
