Five 2022 Stock Risers from July

<p>July was a busy month with multiple events occurring simultaneously in different locations. Now that we have some downtime, it feels appropriate to take a look at what we learned. Here are five stock risers from the class of 2022 that we observed. </p> <h5><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="904662" first="Ryan" last="Archey"] | Gwynn Park (MD) ’22</strong></h5> <p>Archey stayed true to form after impressing at DC Live. The Capitol Hoops Summer League MVP lead his team to a deep run into the playoffs. Archey is a dynamic lead guard who gets to his spots, scores at will and makes others around him better. He will be a darkhorse all-met candidate heading into his senior season. </p> <h5><strong>Cole Cosby | Gonzaga (DC) ’22</strong></h5> <p>Cosby used the platform of the summer league to help propel himself from relative obscurity into the spotlight. He is a deadeye shooter but does all the little things that help win games as well. One of Cosby’s most interesting attributes is his passing. </p> <h5><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1159449" first="Eddie" last="Paquette"] | Gonzaga (DC) ’22</strong></h5> <p>Paquette is another member of Gonzaga’s 2022 class who is trending up. The versatile guard can get 10 rebounds if you need him to, but he can also hang 20+ points on an opponent during a given contest. </p> <h5><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="904687" first="James" last="Rice"] | Eleanor Roosevelt (MD) ’22</strong></h5> <p>Rice is another program guy at ER who has risen through the ranks. He is a difference-maker on both ends of the floor. Rice is a vocal presence on the court. He plays extremely hard and sets the tone with his unrelenting effort. Rice is also one of the better shooters on the team. He can also play on and off the ball. </p> <h5><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="904654" first="Bryce" last="Sewell"] | Georgetown Prep (MD) ’22</strong></h5> <p>Sewell is the ultimate competitor. He is usually one of the smaller players on the court, but that doesn’t prevent him from making possibly the biggest impact each time he hits the floor. Sewell is a smart player. He manipulates the defense with ball fakes. He plays lockdown defense and can score, but understands how to elevate the level of his teammates. </p>
