RYZE Summer 60: Standouts Pt. 1

2022 5-10 G Jaylen Gunn – LOB Elite – Douglas County
Gunn played with a fearless approach, slashing to the rim as often as he could against Rome Elite. He made an impact with his energy, flying around the floor and playing bigger than his size as he crashed in for rebounds. Jaylen proved to be a pest of defense and served as the team’s energizer.

2022 6-1 G [player_tooltip player_id="1183120" first="Demyron" last="Williams"] – Aim High – Walnut Grove
Known for his three-point shooting, [player_tooltip player_id="1183120" first="Demyron" last="Williams"] hit a pair of threes against the Newnan Fire and showed an ability to draw fouls when getting downhill as he went 5-5 from the line. Williams is an athletic guard that has improved his floor game each and every season. He should be a focal point on a talented Walnut Grove team.

2022 6-1 PG [player_tooltip player_id="1199592" first="Ashton" last="Blackwell"] – Rome Elite – Christian Heritage
Ashton didn’t hunt his offense all that much in a win over LOB Elite, but when he did, he was effective. Blackwell is one of the best guards in North Georgia. He’s very quick, able to breakdown defenders and get to the rim. Blackwell is a playmaker off the dribble. He’s a good passer and doesn’t force much with the ball in his hands. Blackwell should be a stock riser his final season and should draw attention from Non-D-I’s.

2023 6-4 W [player_tooltip player_id="1050117" first="Earnest" last="Ofremu"] – NME – McEachern
The length and athleticism of [player_tooltip player_id="1050117" first="Earnest" last="Ofremu"] stand out. He likes to slash to the basket and elevate over the defense. Ofremu has upside as a defender. He has the foot speed and strength to guard multiple positions. Ofremu is a sneaky good prospect with tools for the next level.

2023 5-9 PG [player_tooltip player_id="1049220" first="BJ" last="Brown"] – NME – Harrison
He may not have elite size or bulk, but [player_tooltip player_id="1049220" first="BJ" last="Brown"] can handle and pass the ball with the best of them. He is a skilled playmaker that is comfortable organizing the offense. He pushes the ball well and likes to drive and kick to open shooters. Brown has confidence in his passing and will test the defense with his vision. He can shoot the three and is a quality finisher.
