McBride has worked hard to come back from a summer injury and while he came back in mid December, it seems like he’s finally getting his feet under him and looking closer to the athlete he was preinjury. In three playoff games, McBride is shooting 10/15 from the field. A couple above the rim finishes on Tuesday included a breakaway dunk and a layup where McBride’s hand was above the rim as well. His efficiency, size and athleticism are reasons why he’s signed to Niagara and has a chance to be an impact player down the line at the Division I level.

McBride played injured and came off the bench but his impact was tough to miss. McBride knocked down a 3-pointer off movement and had a couple impressive takes to the basket. His finish on the left side through contact was the most impressive play of the night. Moeller is struggling early in the season with some injured players and new pieces, I’d bet on them looking like a completely different team come playoff time.

McBride is the big riser in the 2024 rankings at the top, moving from just outside the top 10 to number 6 after an impressive Spring and Summer. McBride impressed for All Ohio Red during the spring live period and was impressive for Midwest Basketball Club 3SSB in July. McBride is a very impressive athlete and comes from a basketball family, his cousin Deuce was a Moeller standout before making it to the NBA. McBride took a big step from his Sophomore high school season until now, so expect his Junior year stats to be much improved. McBride added offers to Akron and Stony Brook in the summer after holding four heading into his Sophomore high school season.
