#52 Chris Brown Chris Brown 6'5" | SG Peninsula Catholic | 2022 State VA | 6’3” SG | Peninsula Catholic (Previous Rank: #61)
Brown is right on the cusp of pulling in a number of offers if he plays well in the live periods, as the 6’3” two guard has played well for Peninsula Catholic over the past few years. He’s an athletic and tough player on both ends of the floor as he can sit down and guard on the perimeter but he’s also a fearless help side defender that can meet bigger guys at the rim as well. He can play on and off the basketball, he’s a microwave scorer that can fill it up from multiple levels and he’s able to make plays for others as well.
#59 Piercen Young Piercen Young 6'4" | SG Virginia Episcopal | 2022 State VA | 6’3” SG | VES (Previous Rank: #69)
Young has dealt with some injuries over the past few years, but every time you watch him play you have to be impressed with his overall game and production. He’s a very cerebral guy that can make plays on or off the basketball, he is skilled as a multi level scorer and he makes the right plays consistently. He also brings a lot of toughness and energy to his team, as he’s a guy who will compete on both ends of the floor every time he’s on it.
#63 Matthew Gray Matthew Gray 6'7" | SF Flint Hill | 2022 State VA | 6’6” SF | Flint Hill (Previous Rank: #104)
Gray cracked our rankings last year as we were just learning about him, and now he’s the biggest jumper of the class moving up 41 spots after his improvement over the past few years. He has excellent size on the wing and good athleticism to go along with it, making him a two way impact guy that can guard the other team’s best player. He plays with a high motor and is a big finisher above the rim, he’s a good slasher that can play through contact and he still has room to get better at the next level.
#69 Connor Dubsky Connor Dubsky 6'4" | SG Sunrise Christian Academy | 2023 State New E | 6’2” SG | Bishop O’Connell (Previous Rank: #89)
Another NOVA area player that’s moving on up, Dubsky moves up 20 spots after his terrific spring he’s been having for Prospect U. Known as a knock down shooter since his arrival at Bishop O’Connell, Dubsky has expanded his game to being an all-around scorer that can fill it up in bunches and has put up some huge numbers this spring. He’s smooth off the bounce and able to get to his spots and make tough shots from multiple levels, and he’s still that elite level shooter he’s shown over time.
#76 Keishawn Pulley Keishawn Pulley 6'2" | CG St. Christopher's School | 2022 State VA | 6’2” CG | St. Christopher’s (Previous Rank: #99)
Pulley moves up 23 spots in the new rankings after his improvement at St. Chris the past few years and the great spring he’s had with Team Richmond. The 6’2” guard came into his freshman year as a shooter and a two guard, but due to the fact that St. Chris has needed him to play the point, through trial and error and tons of development he’s turned himself into a true combo guard that can initiate the offense and also score it off the bounce. He has good length and is strong off the bounce allowing him to finish through traffic, and he can get hot quickly and fill it up from deep when he gets it going.
#90 Rival Axselle Rival Axselle 6'3" | SG Atlee | 2022 State VA | 6’3” SG | Atlee (Previous Rank: #121)
Another Team Richmond product that has shown great strides this spring, Axselle debuted at the bottom of our rankings last year and has moved up 31 spots after his play this spring. Axselle is a long lefty that can flat out knock it down from deep, but he also has a great IQ and knows how to work off the basketball to get open and can make shots on the move with consistency. He has good instincts on the defensive end and competes, and he’s extremely efficient for a guy who relies on the long ball as much as he does.
#96 Patrick Clevenger Patrick Clevenger 6'6" | SF James River (Buchanan) | 2022 State VA | 6’6” SF | James River-Buchanan (Previous Rank: #113)
Clevenger was someone we put in the rankings due to what I had seen on film, but when I got a chance to evaluate him in person I realized he was too low and moved him up 17 spots in these rankings. He’s a big wing who knows how to use his size to shoot over defenders and fill it up from multiple levels. He isn’t the most athletic player but his size makes up for a lot of that, and he has a very diverse bag to score with.
