Territorial Classic Recap: Wings And Bigs Part 1

<p>The Territorial Classic took place Friday, June 11th, until Sunday, June 13th. The tournament, which took place at Nets on Fire in St George, UT featured H.S, and Prep Programs from across the West Region. This high-level setting was designed to evaluate and provide exposure to under-the-radar prospects. All games were <a href="https://www.smithbrosnetwork.com/7outz">live-streamed</a> and included official stats. The tournament featured several talented wings and post players. In this article, we take a look at the top Wings and Bigs from the event. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="858161" first="Kentrell" last="Wallace"] <em>6’1 SG Las Vegas 2021</em> <em>(featured image)</em> - Wallace was able to provide secondary scoring for Las Vegas. The slashing wing got out and scored in transition, and finished at the rim off dribble drives. He averaged 13 points per game during Championship Sunday, helping LV reach the Platinum Championship game. </p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1110135" first="Kiree" last="Huie"] <em>6’9 PF Desert Valley Prep 2021</em> - Huie was big, strong, and dominant. He grabbed every board and finished several plays with thunderous slams. The 6'9 banger 4 is one of the top Junior College prospects on the West Coast, however, he is currently entertaining several post-grad options. Behind his play, DVP cruised to the Gold Bracket Championship.  </p> <p>Easton Taylor <em>6’3 SG Uintah 2022</em> - Taylor was one of the top players for Uintah. The wing was able to finish in transition, but he also made his share of open shots. He was good in catch-and-shoot situations knocking down several 3’s including 3 in a pool-play win over DIG. </p> <p>Jake Bloom <em>6’4 C D1 Southern California 2022</em> - Bloom was one of my top glue guys, but he also was one of the top post. He rebounded and showed good touch when delivering the ball from the high post. Behind his efforts, D1 reached the semifinals. </p> <p>Dalton Runyon <em>6’2 SG D1 Southern California 2022</em> - Runyon just kept making plays for D1. He knocked down his share of open shots and managed to get out and score in transition. The 6’2 guard was also a factor on the defensive end, guarding both backcourt spots effectively.
