We recently updated the class of 2023 player rankings. Gathering a list of players and choosing which rank best fits the individual was a difficult task, but we do our best to keep them updated every three months. This means our next update will come out in the early fall. This update includes an increase in the number of players. Below we will look at the new names on the list.

Here are the Newcomers:

[player_tooltip player_id="1167651" first="Max" last="Froslie"] |6-7 F| Fargo Davies/ECI - He had a huge night in summer league last night with 33 points and three triples. Max is obviously long, which makes him a top rebounder and a rim protector. However, he moves more like a wing player and he has solid ball skills. Max can also shoot it from downtown. He has looked good in AAU play with ECI. Froslie will be the big man for the Eagles in the high school season. Max will play a vital role for Davies next year. He has the potential, skills, and size to be an All-State player.

Welcome Muhoza (2023) |6-4 F| West Fargo/ND Tropics - When I first saw him play, the word "ATHLETE" popped into my head. Welcome can run, jump, and slash at a high level. His wingspan seems to go on for days. He is definitely a player to keep an eye on. Long and athletic are attributes that coaches like!

[player_tooltip player_id="1160110" first="Jedi" last="Derrick"] (2023) |6-3 F| Bismarck/ND Attack - He is a versatile player that can go inside and out. Jedi can hit the 3-point shot consistently. He has solid fundamentals. Derrick has a high ceiling with his flexibility and athleticism.

[player_tooltip player_id="1160156" first="Tate" last="Grossman"] (2023) |6-3 G| Harvey/Wells County/ND Attack - He is a nice-sized guard with strength. Grossman is a hard-working player on defense on and off the ball. Tate can slash and penetrate gaps. He also has the ability to hit open jumpers.

[player_tooltip player_id="1162304" first="Sam" last="Enget"] (2023) |6-2 G| Devils Lake/ND Attack - He is a smart player who has played a ton of ball. Enget can handle the rock nicely and smoothly with both hands. He hustles and does the little things no matter what the score is. Enget can get in the lane and make plays happen. He has the potential to have a breakthrough year with Devils Lake in the upcoming season.

[player_tooltip player_id="1203556" first="Trey" last="Swanson"] (2023) |6-4 F| Beach - He is a workhorse in the paint! Trey is big, tough, and smart. He averaged over 13 boards a game last year. Trey does most of his scoring damage in the paint and off O-board putbacks. Swanson is great at pinning defenders deep in the paint for point-blank shots. This beast for the Bucs will have a great junior season.

[player_tooltip player_id="1167890" first="Malaki" last="Sik"] (2023) |6-3 F| Williston/ECI - I really liked the looks of his game at the Border Battle Tournament. Sik is super athletic and strong. He has the ability to be a powerful slasher. Malaki has a smooth-looking shot from mid-range. Expect Sik to make some noise in the WDA next season.

[player_tooltip player_id="1184440" first="Rylan" last="Olson"] (2023) |6-2 G| Des Lacs Burlington/ND Attack - A lefty that can run with the best of them. He can really do damage in the transition game. He will have the green light to shoot it from the perimeter next season. The Laker BIGS will be constantly doubled. Olson should be able to spot up and cash in 3-pointers all season.

[player_tooltip player_id="1162309" first="Drew" last="Biel"] (2023) |6-0 G| Dickinson - He is a tough player that plays with a chip on his shoulder. Biel has good feet and good hands. He uses his body smartly and he takes advantage of opposing player’s weaknesses. Drew has the potential to be a consistent three-point shooter.

[player_tooltip player_id="1162332" first="Matthew" last="Selensky"] (2023) |6-2 G| Bismarck - He is a well-rounded guard with a good head on his shoulders. Selensky has all the skills that are needed to be successful. His versatility will be a great asset for Bismarck St. Mary's next year. Matthew can put up points with jumpers from the perimeter.
