With our updated 2022 rankings, it’s time to do some positional breakdowns. Here are the top shooting guards and combo guards who didn’t make our top 10 overall.

[player_tooltip player_id="923006" first="Jevonte" last="Turner"], Knox Central - A 2021 prospect who took advantage of Senate Bill 128 and became a 2022, Turner has led Knox Central to 3 straight regional championships and will attempt to make it 4 in a row with his extra year. He's a shifty guard who can get to the rim or knock down a step back jumper.

[player_tooltip player_id="692954" first="Kennedy" last="Hayden"], Ballard - Speaking of step back jumpers, Hayden may have the prettiest step back in the state. A big guard who has improved a ton over this career at Ballard, "Keno" is tough to stop when he's going downhill and can lock up an opposing ball handler when he's on the defensive end.

[player_tooltip player_id="801625" first="Tanner" last="Walton"], GRC - Recently transferring from Lexington Christian, it will be interesting to see how Walton fits in with a guard heavy roster at GRC. After carrying a heavy scoring load for LCA the last 2 seasons, the move to the 10th region champions should allow for Tanner to get a lot of open shots that he wasn't seeing the last 2 years.

[player_tooltip player_id="926907" first="Cole" last="Villers"], Ashland - Nearly a member of the 50-40-90 club last season, Villers makes his living on offense as a catch and shoot guard but he can put the ball on the floor and attack as well. The leading scorer on a loaded Ashland roster, Cole will have his sights set on a state championship in March.

[player_tooltip player_id="926899" first="Andru" last="Markham"], Fern Creek - Markham has been really good when he's been healthy. Unfortunately, his high school career has been slowed by a couple of knee injuries that have cost him his Junior season and half of his Sophomore campaign. Hopefully Andru can be at 100% for July AAU and his Senior season this winter.
