. Jones hit a growth spurt before the start of last season and the jump shooting continued to be a key part of his game. He can release over most matchups but also has the ability to put the ball on the ground and finish at the rim. Carson has a high IQ and does all the little things, as most Landsharks do, to help win games.

Jones is a sharpshooter with a high basketball IQ and will do the dirty work on both ends of the floor. On his Summer Highlights, Carson had a few impressive plays diving on the ground, making smart passes, and second-chance buckets. He is a very tough shooter to contest because he is listed at 6’4″ and has a very high release point, meaning he can add spacing to any offense. He is a true corner deadeye, with most of his made threes on tape coming from the corners. Jones will even get into it on the defensive end by jumping passing lanes and rotating to block shots.

Jones is the other Landshark I was impressed with this weekend. He is one of their wings that they count on to knock down shots and stretch the floor, but he also has the length to affect the game on the defensive end. Carson knocked down 5 threes between the 2 games I watched of Oceanside Collegiate in Greenville including 2 very important ones near the end of the first half in the Sizzlin’ Summer Shootout Gold Bracket Championship Game.

Jones has a quick trigger from behind the arc. Carson has grown a bit it seems since the Grassroots season. Jones has deep range on his shot and can really get on fire when given the opportunity. Carson moves well without the ball and always seems to be ready to shoot the ball from the pocket.

Carson is a flame thrower when he gets his feet set from downtown. Jones will have a bigger role this season for the Landsharks at Oceanside Collegiate Academy.
He really understands how to have his hands ready for the pass and being shot ready. Carson is running on the Grassroots Circuit with the Charleston Raptors 16U squad.
