Graduations are happening across the state. A handful of the top players from the class of 2021 will continue their basketball careers at the next level. Some will choose to play other sports, or pursue other interests. But regardless, they have left important marks on the Kansas basketball landscape.

A few of the top stars of the Flint Hills League include Lyndon big man [player_tooltip player_id="1134453" first="Miles" last="Kitselman"] and Mission Valley powerhouse Dayton Logan. But there were other seniors who finished their high school careers in style and made their schools proud.

Here are a few faithful seniors from the Flint Hills League:

Jarod Crawford, 6-foot senior, Central Heights:

The senior leader of the Vikings, Crawford put up some well-rounded stats. Though just 6-foot, he crashed the boards to the tune of 4.7 per game. He spread the ball around and got his teammates involved, tallying 3.7 assists as a senior. He recorded an impressive 5.1 assists as a junior. Crawford matched the 12 points per game he averaged as a junior, recording 12.4 per game as a senior.

[player_tooltip player_id="1134452" first="Luke" last="Detwiler"], 5-foot-11 guard, Lyndon:

Lyndon was loaded last year, but Detwiler was the senior leader of the guards. He is an athletic and well-rounded point man who tracks down a lot of 50/50 balls and has his hands in everything. He didn’t have to score a ton to lead the Tigers to wins, which often wound up as blowouts. But he still averaged 14.4 points per game, knocking down outside shots and scoring in transition.

Owen Eidman, 6-foot-2 forward. Chase County:

Eidman led Chase County to a much improved season. He had to do a lot for the Bulldogs, who didn’t have a lot of height. Eidman hit the boards, averaging 6.8 rebounds. The Bulldogs played a lot of low-scoring games, but Eidman was their top offensive threat, averaging 10.9 points after scoring 12.8 as a junior.

Cade Fischer, 6-foot-6 senior, West Franklin:

Fischer is a big man – one of the biggest in the Flint Hills League – who can really shoot it. He had several games as a senior in which he hit three or more 3-pointers. He can move well for a big guy, getting in runouts and chasing down plays. He is a rangy defender who blocks shots, and is physical enough to pull down 9.1 rebounds as a senior.

[player_tooltip player_id="1134426" first="Gunnar" last="Fort"], 6-foot-3 guard, Osage City:

Fort bounced back from injury in a big way. After leading the Indians in scoring as a sophomore, he had to sit out his junior year. But he was a team-leader and consistent scorer as a senior. He seemed to be really good against the best competition. Fort tossed in 22 against Lyndon. He finished the regular season strong against three great opponents – 14 points in games against St. Marys, Olpe and Lebo.
