[player_tooltip player_id="890464" first="Greg" last="Brown"] | SG | Bellevue West

Current: 15 Previous: 21

Brown was one of the best rebounding guards in the state this season. He’s thin, but has bounce and enough toughness to high-point the ball in traffic. When an athlete like him can rip down a rebound and immediately turn and sprint the floor, it is a huge advantage to the offense. He fit in nicely next to the playmakers for Bellevue West, who rewarded Brown cutting when the defensive attention was elsewhere.

[player_tooltip player_id="890486" first="Graham" last="Cassoutt"] | PF | Papillion La Vista South

Current: 16 Previous: 27

In Cassoutt’s final season for the Titans, he took 35% more shots than he did as a junior while only experiencing a slight dip in efficiency. That was offset some by his improvement from 3-point range, 43% on 4.6 attempts per game. He can space the floor, handle it well, and pass it well for a big.

[player_tooltip player_id="890474" first="Carter" last="Glenn"] | PG | Papillion La Vista South

Current: 19 Previous: 36

Glenn was an absolute problem for defenses in his senior season. Papillion La Vista South was a good shooting bunch, and Glenn used his efficient footwork and tight handle to beat his man and create penetration. He is one of the smartest players I watched all year. He helps and doubles at the right times, and manipulates lane to cut and pass in to using his eyes and body. Glenn will shock you with his explosion, and is a really crafty finisher.

[player_tooltip player_id="1007526" first="Justin" last="Sitti"] | PG | Creighton Prep

Current: 20 Previous: 32

It will be difficult for the Jr. Jays to replace the toughness and competitiveness that Sitti brought each night. The Morningside commit has no issue flying into the lane and banging with the big boys in the paint. He can finish through hard contact, and deal a bit of his own with shoulder bumps in the lane to make space for his pull-up. Sitti applies that same toughness when going for rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id="890514" first="Kallan" last="Herman"] | CG | Norfolk

Current: 29 Previous: 66

The Norfolk sharpshooter was one of the best high-volume scoring options in Nebraska this season. He scored 26 points per game, and shot 37% from three on nearly 9 attempts per game. Hermann had no problem taking and making the most difficult shots in high-leverage situations. He sets his defender up early with an in-and-out or hesitation move, knowing that he will get the space required to get his shot off in the next moment.

[player_tooltip player_id="958186" first="Andrew" last="Heffelfinger"] | SG | Waverly

Current: 33 Previous: 51

Heffelfinger got stronger in the offseason, and improved his touch inside the arc. He was always probing the lane, but really capitalized on those paint touches with reliable finishing. The leading scorer for the Vikings gave us one of the more exciting moments of the 2021 State Tournament, with his game-winning floater in traffic against Omaha Skutt in the first round.

[player_tooltip player_id="890484" first="Curtis" last="Ogba"] | PG | Omaha North

Current: 38 Previous: 63

Ogba is an electrifying isolation player. The Omaha North offense could stall at times, and Ogba would repeatedly bail the team with out with deep three-pointers off the dribble. Getting into his shot so quickly helps offset some of his height disadvantage at 5’6". He has learned a lot of the tricks that small guards need to finish in the paint. Using the body as a shield, finishing off the wrong foot, and mixing speeds are all second nature to Ogba.

[player_tooltip player_id="890473" first="Kaden" last="Glynn"] | SF | Beatrice

Current: 46 Previous: 68

We all got a great look at Glynn while Beatrice made their championship run in March. He is skilled with the ball, more of a wing than a true forward. He was one of the best passers in Nebraska this year, and could playmake from the post or perimeter.

[player_tooltip player_id="958192" first="Ryan" last="Larsen"] | SG | Millard West

Current: 53 Previous: 71

Larsen has the quickest and most repeatable release of any player I watched this season. His shot looks the same whether he is spotting up, pulling up, catching and shooting off movement, or shooting a step-back. His length allows him to make plays on defense every now and then, but his performance on that end possession-by-possession is subpar.
