The new 2023 rankings are out.

This season ended up being a short AIA season, a full Grind Session season, a condensed CAA season and a longer AAU season with showcase formats.

This 2023 class may be back to normal like the good old days. (We hope!)

We look at the Top-10 PF/C’s in the 2023 class:

A very good group with all 14 in the top-40. Not many traditional old school bigs but many are very skilled with tons of long term upside.

1. [player_tooltip player_id="814038" first="Noah" last="Amenhauser"] Estrella Foothills

-Not many bigger with his length at this early stage then him. He has advanced skill down low with multiple moves plus can shoot it comfortably from mid to the 3. A top rebounder and will block shots in area.

2. [player_tooltip player_id="814520" first="Isaac" last="Hymes"] Millennium

-A versatile face-up 4-man with wing skills. He can handle it in the open court and go to the basket to score it. He also loves shooting it from deep and from the elbow. He can work inside and score it with his back to the basket as well.

3. [player_tooltip player_id="994004" first="Mathiang" last="Maker"] Dream City

-The top athlete in the group flies in the open court. He plays way above the rim and will block shots and rebound. He also can shoot the 3 with range and handles it a little to score it inside.

4. [player_tooltip player_id="1008612" first="Julian" last="Roberts"] Glenview College Prep

-A long lefty seems to grow a little each season. He is one of the better shooters on the list and can make them with range. He has a quick release and is confident with it. He will grab rebounds in the crowd and outlets well.

5. [player_tooltip player_id="1032529" first="Nate" last="Parras"] Arcadia

-A springy 4-man can face-up to the 3 plus bang inside for rebounds. He shows a good motor and can score it around the cup. He should be the man next year for the Titans.

6. [player_tooltip player_id="1150945" first="Porter" last="Bazil"] Phhoenix Prep (Pictured)

-A unique 4/3 type can handle, shoot and rebound. He shoots the three with some consistency and plays some three and four for his team. He has a sturdy frame and can drive and score it.

7. [player_tooltip player_id="831116" first="Landon" last="Schumaker"] AZ Compass Prep

-A gifted four-man who can bang, shoot perimeter shots and works better then most on the list down low. He is very smart and passes the ball well. He has multiple counter moves inside and plays with a high motor to rebound using his soft hands.

8. [player_tooltip player_id="1127089" first="Michael" last="DeHorney"] CDS

-A long and lean forward who is very fluid. He is just scratching the surface with his progression to the player he will be. He can block shots, rebound and score it with hook shots. Don't be surprised to see him climb the rankings over the next two years.

9. [player_tooltip player_id="945148" first="Oliver" last="Hinder"] CDS

-Another long term player has good genes. His father played overseas for over a decade and he is just starting to figure some things out. He moves well from end to end and will block shots out of his area. His hook shot is polished and plays hard.

10. [player_tooltip player_id="827022" first="Ryan" last="Vischer"] Phhoenix Prep

-Another long term player is progressing his game. He has legit size and plays way above the rim. He is a fluid mover and plays hard on defense to rebound and block shots.

4 others:

1. [player_tooltip player_id="1172175" first="Albert" last="Wilson III"] Gilbert Christian

-A strong power forward may be the strongest in the class. He grabs rebound in and out of his area using his girth and strength. He is mostly a paint scorer but his activity makes him a valuable asset for any team.

2. [player_tooltip player_id="936910" first="Jordan" last="Kuac"] Ironwood

-An athletic forward springs up for rebounds. He blocks shots and runs the floor like a wing. He is starting to handle the ball better and has the potential to move over to the wing. He can defend either spot and is also starting to shoot it from the perimeter.

3. [player_tooltip player_id="831120" first="Seydou" last="Tamboura"] St. Mary’s

-Another strong forward is one of the better athletes on the list. He is new to the game and shows upside. He is a rim runner and is starting to hit 3's. The more he learns the game, the sky is the limit.

4. [player_tooltip player_id="937182" first="Royce" last="Ramos"] Rancho Solano Prep

-A highly skilled forward is starting to become one of the better shooters on the list. He can knock down the 3 with consistency and is strong to play and bang inside with anyone. He can rip through and score through contact.
