2022 Rankings Update!

This post officially introduces the class of 2022 ranking update for the state of Idaho! These players have done an excellent job of advancing their skills on the court over the course of their high school careers, and many of these players have made significant jumps on the leaderboard during their time as prep basketball players. With this ranking update, the next few articles will take a look at players that were able to make big jumps in the rankings and increase their stock, as well as looking at players who are being introduced to the rankings for the first time. Continue reading for a preview of some players that will be featured in the class of 2022 rankings update.
Brayden Bengston Brayden Bengston 6'1" | SG Coeur d'Alene | 2022 State ID , Coeur d’Alene: Brayden is a dynamic shooting guard for the Vikings that can do a little bit of everything. Bengston has a strong body and he regularly defends players with more size and he is able to keep them off of the boards or force turnovers. On offense, Brayden does a great job of pushing the ball in transition and can also shoot well from outside. Watch for Brayden to make a big impact for Coeur d’Alene in the upcoming season.
Jacob Martinez Jacob Martinez 6'0" | PG Vallivue | 2022 State ID , Vallivue: Martinez had an excellent season for Vallivue last year and will look to build on his skills and abilities during the upcoming season. Jacob can get hot from deep in a hurry and is capable of going on huge scoring frenzies in a short amount of time. Martinez is a great offensive weapon for the Falcons and will look to continue expanding his role as he enters his senior season. Martinez is a great all-around guard who has the mentality to lead a team to success.
Coleman Ross Coleman Ross 6'2" | SG St. Maries | 2022 State ID , St. Maries: Ross will look to snag another state championship during the upcoming season. He did a great job of helping St. Maries win their first state championship in quite some time, and his impact on the team is felt by everyone around him. Ross can shoot from deep, drive to the basket for a tough finish, guard the opposing team’s best player, or grab a game-sealing rebound when it matters most.
