As basketball fans there is nothing better then watching teams and player come out ready to play. Now into week two here are a few of the top performances.
Grant Kepley 6’0 PG Graduating class of 2023
In week two Kepley had 14 points and 5 rebounds in a much needed win for his team. As only a sophomore this kid has the confidence and IQ of a much older player. His length and quickness gives him a edge of his defender. He ended the game not only shooting 50% from 3 but from the field as well. This will be a young player to keep your eye on as he devolpes over the next few years. He has had a great start to his sophomore season.
Camden Rus PF Graduating class of 2021 https://www.hudl.com/profile/10574133/Camden-Rus
With week two complete Rus is avg 16 point per game and adding 8.5 rebounds. As a player who likes to play around the rim he is providing a lot of rim protection for his team. This is also a player who requires a lot of attention from the defense which gives his teammates more opportunities. With all of his shots coming from inside the 3 point line it opens up a lot of jump shots for other players. He continues to battel for rebounds on both ends and has great timing, brining in both 4 offensive and defensive rebound in week 2. I expect a great senior season from Rus.
Bennett O’Connor Bennett O’Connor 6'0" | PG Mt. Si | 2022 State WA 6’0 PG Graduating class of 2022
O’connor had a great performance in week 2, not only scoring 20 points but he had 5 rebounds 3 assists and 3 steals. The most impressive stat however was the fact that he has 0 turnovers. When you have a player who has the ball in his hands a lot and still does not turn the ball over that is a coaches dream. After a slow start in week one this kid turned it around and had a much better performance in week 2. He likes to shoot the 3 but has the ability to play around the rim as well. He understands the importance of playing hard on defense and will give his team that effort every play.
Quin Patterson Quin Patterson 6'7" | SF Mount Si | 2022 State WA 6’6 SG Graduating class of 2022 https://www.hudl.com/profile/12207206/Quin-Patterson
Patterson is now avg 13 points and 7 rebounds in two weeks. This is a young player whos length and shooting ability makes him tough to guard. He has a nice mid range shot to match his 3 ball. Having a player like him allows his team to stretch the floor and makes it hard on defenders. He has great timing on the glass and is able to get rebounds and get out in transition quickly. Watching him play, he does all the little things you want out of 6’6 shooting guard.
