AAU Organization: Alabama Fusion
Jakeith Carr, G, 2023
This is Carr’s first time joining the Fusion, but he fits their system with his style of play. He is a downhill guard who likes to push the ball in transition and get to the basket. Carr’s basketball IQ is off the charts for his age. He plays with other elite guards to play off the ball at the shooting guard and get more opportunities to score the ball. This season of summer ball will definitely help Carr’s game grow as a point guard, because he’s playing with other elite point guards on his team, which will make him want to improve his game even more. Opelika’s star player will be a problem his junior year!
AAU Organization: Slaam Basketball
Jayden Cooper, G, 2023
If you’re look for a knockdown shooter, Cooper is your guy! He knows how to get down the floor in transition and stay wide so he can get ready to hit his shot. Cooper is a consistent shooter; rarely will he miss two in a row, and that’s because he has so much confidence in himself about his shot. He understands his role when he plays, and he knows what his team needs from him. He also brings solid defense, which is good for him because he keeps him on the floor a lot. Cooper is a pure shooting guard who can be one of the best shooters out of Opelika.
