Atlanta Jam: Day 1 Notables Pt. 3

<p><strong>2022 6-4 G [player_tooltip player_id="1167117" first="Tre" last="Chatman"] – SBT – North Cobb Christian</strong></p> <p>After averaging close to 40 points per game at LakePoint, I had to see what all the fuss was about when it came to [player_tooltip player_id="1167117" first="Tre" last="Chatman"]. The rising senior is a bulldozer on the perimeter. He wants to get downhill and overwhelm opponents with his overpowering strength. Chatman is built like a linebacker and has a college-ready body that can absorb bumps when attacking the rack. When he’s up close, he plays bully ball to get the angles needed to power through defenders. Chatman unsurprisingly draws a ton of fouls. He went 11-14 from the line as he finished with 21 points and 4 rebounds in a loss to OTP. Chatman did showcase the ability to pull-up and shoot from 10-15 feet. Developing more range on his jumper will determine his trajectory.</p> <p><strong>2022 5-11 G Terrence Moore Jr. – GA Vision – Heritage-Conyers</strong></p> <p>Terrence came out of the gates smoking, drilling three after three for GA Vision. When he was left open he made defenses pay. Once defenders played him close, he was able to get to the basket and distribute. His outside shot opens up a lot of his offense. When Moore got to the hoop, he finished with both hands equally well.</p> <p><strong>2022 6-5 SF Mekhi Witter – GA Vision – Rockdale County</strong></p> <p>Witter has a good body as a combo-forward that can play both inside and out. He’s an aggressive rebounder and overall strong athlete. He scored on a nice lefty spin move and was able to clean up misses. Witter has confidence in his outside shot which has range out to the three-point line.</p> <p><strong>2022 6-1 G Gus Hood – PSB Atlanta – Rabun County</strong></p> <p>You can count on Gus Hood to play smart and play hard. The tough guard scored in different ways as he finished with 8 points, 3 rebounds and 1 steal. He can shoot the three but also has a good enough handle to get into the teeth of the defense and draw contact. Hood displayed nice decision making when he got into the paint and knew whether to shoot or facilitate.</p> <p><strong>2021 6-6 F [player_tooltip player_id="1020675" first="Jackson" last="Greene"] – God’s Property – Valor Christian</strong></p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1020675" first="Jackson" last="Greene"] brought his veteran inside-out presence to Suwanee. Greene can bang inside and score with his back to the basket but also has stretch-four capabilities. He hit a pair of threes and went 5-6 from the line as he tallied 11 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 block. You know what you’re going to get from Greene every time out. He’s a valuable late addition for small schools.</p>
