2023 Diamonds in the Rough pt. 3

<p>In this third and final installment of our look at diamonds in the rough from the class of 2023, Idaho will yet again provide us with a lot of talent that I do not feature on any of these lists. Every season, there are players who seemingly come out of nowhere to have great seasons after being completely overlooked during the year prior. If you are one of those players, I first would like to apologize for failing to recognize your talent, and I would secondly like to encourage you to continue proving me wrong as you pave a road for your basketball career! Continue reading for a look at a few underrated players from the class of 2023.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="969721" first="Koby" last="Luna"], Kellogg:</strong> Luna helped lead assist Kellogg on their way to a state tournament appearance this past season and will look to become a leader during the upcoming seasons. Luna has proved his ability to score well at the varsity level and he will likely be a big source of offensive production and output. Koby can shoot from anywhere in the gym and he is especially talented at knocking down the open three-pointer.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="970437" first="Jordan" last="Summers"], Post Falls:</strong> Summers will look to expand his role with the Trojans next season after a great first two season of high school basketball. Jordan is part of a storied program in Post Falls and he has already shown that he can play hard on both ends of the court and defends and shoots the ball extremely well. Summers is a high IQ player that any coach would love to have on their squad, especially during a championship run.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1108093" first="Austin" last="Curtis"], Clearwater Valley:</strong> Curtis is a great player for Clearwater Valley and he has the keys for the remainder of his time at CV. Austin plays the game with a lot of poise and loves to find ways to get his teammates open looks. For his size, he rebounds well and is willing to stick his nose into anything that might allow him to grab the ball. Austin has a knack for forcing turnovers and converting them into buckets on the other end. Watch for Curtis to become a great player for Clearwater Valley in the next two seasons.</p>
