The Michigan high school playoffs are close! In this crazy season, senior leadership takes on the utmost importance. Let’s look at 5 seniors that could lead their teams on deep playoff runs.

[player_tooltip player_id="811091" first="Pierre" last="Brooks"] II (2021, SG, Detroit Frederick Douglass)

Not many coaches will be happy to see Brooks II take the floor against them, and there’s a good reason for that. There isn’t a more skilled player in the state than Brooks II. He has take over ability in all aspects of his game, not just scoring. Brooks II is a true leader that could push his team deep in the playoffs.

[player_tooltip player_id="811100" first="Blake" last="Lund"] (2021, CG, Linden)

If you never watched Lund play, you missed out. The young man has such a well rounded game his basketball IQ is terrific. Lund reads the game and it’s matchups, and then does whatever it is that his team needs from him. That being said, Lund can go off on the offensive end and drop 30 points on any given night.

[player_tooltip player_id="811109" first="Keyon" last="Menifield"] (2021, PG, Flint Beecher)

Menifield is an elite guard in Michigan and should be in the Mr. Basketball conversation. He’s electric with the ball and is a threat to score from anywhere on the court. Menifield moves ands manipulates defenders with his handles, then attacks and finishes. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him take Flint Beecher all the way.

[player_tooltip player_id="814589" first="Kentrell" last="Pullian"] (2021, CG, Benton Harbor)

Pullian is too often overlooked as a top perimeter player in the class of 2021. He has an explosive first step and he can almost always create space when he needs it. Pullian can score at all 3 levels and he has the ability to draw defenders and dish to his teammates. Pullian is an experienced player that has all the tools to lead Benton Harbor to a very nice playoff run.

[player_tooltip player_id="811105" first="Marcus" last="Wourman"] (2021, PG, East Lansing)

East Lansing has a lot of talent on their roster, but Wourman is straw that stirs the drink. He’s explosive yet efficient on offense, making solid decisions with the ball and taking advantage of high percentage scoring opportunities. Wourman is a skilled leader that is surrounded by high level young talent. That combination will be tough for opponents to overcome.
